The good lady traded in her A3 Sline 140ps in October last year for an A1 Sline 122ps. I think I've been passenger in it twice in all this time and have never driven it. Today she complained about the tyre pressure warning light coming on (orange image of a cut away tyre section) I checked the manual which suggested an icon would indicate the offending tyre. I found this icon in the DIS
and assumed this was indicating the front offside tyre. I checked all the tyres and discovered that they were all under inflated to some degree. I duly inflated all tyres to the correct pressures and updated the system to reset the orange tyre pressure warning light. On doing so the above icon remained. Thinking I may be mistaken re any connection to the tyre monitoring system I scoured the owners manual. I cannot find any reference to its purpose although in a pictorial diagram explaining some other function in the wider DIS I note that the icon is shown, still with no reference to its purpose. Can anyone enlighten me?
On another note I took the car out for a spin along the twisty coastal route. A bit disappointed in the cars uptake, although a play with the settings revealed it was in Eco mode, on switching to dynamic it clearly made it more responsive and entertaining.
