I've never been able to afford a new car, ...well not any new cars that I'd want as I've always gone for performance cars so being able to make what I've got look as close to "like new" is always my goal.

Always more impressed when I see older cars in great shape after detailing then any new car. ;)

Some new cars paint can look worse than 5,6,7 year old paintwork. All depends on who's touched it before you get it.

I guess that can be true. ;)

Why do some people still seem to think using a sponge (full of impregnated grit) on a cars paintwork and going round in circles with it is a good idea?!!!
Rhetorical question ~ I know the answer it's because they don't know any better.

Maybe the correct two bucket car washing method should be in the owners handbook when you buy a new or used car or maybe even part of the driving test!. Lol. :D

Weather permitting I QD wipe-down mine every day. Today it got washed, QD rinse aid and then coated in Car-Pro Reload. Alloys sealed and Windows done with Reload as well and AG Rubber/Vinyl Care applied to tyres.

As @GMballistic said, Quick Detailer. Can be used for a number of things. As a rinse aid to add some more gloss after a wash, as a lube for claying (I use concentrated soapy water), and also as a wipe down aid if your car is just a little dusty. I tend to use the Simoniz one as its great but cheap as chips in Wilko's or just now I using Wilko's own Dry Wash.
