yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Mine is now status 39 which I believe means it's now landed in the U.K.

Yep, me to. Spoke to dealer yesterday and they said that realistically it takes between 7-10 days to clear customs, make its way to the central Audi compound and then get transportation to the dealer organised.

Not long now then, dealer says I'm looking at 9th September collection.

Another move to assembly for me this morning. Love the videos on the tracker, it gives it a nice little touch. Although it does make me want to actually see it happen in person

I quite fancy doing the tour lol

Mine is now "on its way to the UK" .

Took about 5 days to go from leaving the factory to being on the boat.

Going to sign paperwork today so will be asking for a sneaky look!

Haven't read much at all about the new 2.0 TFSI 190.

What do you need your chassis number for Karen? Also there was 2 facelift S3's in the show room one tango and one Navarro both look good! Didn't see my car tho :-/ never mind 4 days to wait

Should be at the bottom of the API code when you've opened up the youraudi tracker. It's one of the last pieces of code titled "vin"

You can use it to set up the car on the MMI Connect App prior to taking delivery of the car as well as registering the car against your account on the myaudi website after having noted the VIN/Chassis no.

On an unrelated note to the above, mine's finally arrived at the dealer as of yesterday :D Now the wait begins for me to go on holiday and come back before I can take delivery :sob:

I didn't know you could do that with the chassis number, good to know you can tho! Think there must be a few here just waiting to take delivery now, exciting times :)

Thanks. Its not there yet will try in a few days

So... can you use Audi Connect to find/track the location of the car...?
Unfortunately not lol - I got excited too before I tested it. You can set the app up to recognise your car, but you'll still need to link it via the in car MMI first to complete the link

Aahhh cheers @CarloS3 ... but after setup you can see the location of your car on Audi Connect app on iPhone?

Yep should do whilst you have a live SIM for Audi Connect mate - Only problem is the reviews for the MMI Connect app are awful so whether or not they're individuals with a lack of tech-know how or it does genuinely suck remains to be seen :D

But they come with a built-in sim now, so should pretty much always have an internet connection...? I guess I'll need to start reading up on it! :readit:

Have you gone for the tech pack with connect?

Glasgow Audi sure knows how to pick a colour :-|

On the Q7 the embedded sim has no data limit and covers Google Maps etc but it doesn't allow you to hotspot. If you want to hotspot you need your own sim which then takes over and 'scraps' the Audi sim.

The MY17 Q7s also then have the checking of locked car etc via the app and in the car SOS buttons - now I don't what the new A3 will / won't do?

From a quick google, I think you need to purchase an additional data package to allow wifi hotspot in the car, using the embedded sim.
