5500k.

This shot was taken with the shutter of this unit fully open so pure daylight and still bright and that's just 1 projector. I could not get the shot any wider as these things produce a very wide beam pattern.

That's In Daylight?!

Pretty sure I can't even see the beam of my headlights in full daylight.

Daylight :) shutter open and the 8 unit roof lamps where on too today as when it rained it darkend but had to leave them on.

Instagram is Emtuning if you want to see some output shots of the shutter down and both beams lit.

HI All.

Update: Brackets where meant to be complete by Saturday/ beginning of this week, he has sent me msg to say they are not back and is constantly chasing them, its not just A3 brackets I'm having done, I have A5 pre FL ones and some C6 ones too so he has had to do 3 sets of designes then having to have them cut etc, I am hoping they are done for this week as these now have to be done before the end of SEPT as I wont have time after that to work on large orders like these during darker months.

I want to now lock down specs if that's ok, @millsy75 and @IanPG I don't seem to have bulb colours for your set, I need these as I am going to get the bulbs for this GB setup so need to make sure all you have chosen is correct please.

real world high beam shot from the Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 projectors I fitted last week to a B7 A4.

Daft question is that high beam or dipped??

And how much for a spare set of 5500k bulbs (have order 6500k, but may change over myself dependent upon colour etc)

It high beam

Hey trups, what colour bulbs are the ones in the A4 pic above? Thanks.
6500k is the Above but not one of my ballasts as the chap had a Hid kit so we fitted projectors and bulbs only.

but they are a more cooler white with no blue or yellow, again, that's a pitch black road so that colour bulb really come into play.

Thanks for pointing that out @Tj 0785.

@k7aus that's high beam, low beam shots where too shaken for me to use, £25 for an extra set. These bulbs are great bulbs, @Gops had some from me to replace his kit he bought a few years back and his feedback was the setup at 35w was better than his old setup at 55w.

if you look you can see how sharp the low beam light is along the sides, and you can see the high beam goes fainter as the high beam is pushed forwards leaving the sides illuminated without loosing any output.

This setup was also fitted with out ice white high beam halogen in the OEM location so there are 2 lots of high beam on this like there will be with yours.

If I'm right it means there's the xenon high beam and a halogen 1which is for when just just give someone a quick flash when you don't have your lights on but I could be wrong

Bixenons are inactive when dipped beam is turned off. (just high beam halogen H7 if Xenons are turned off).

Once dipped beam is turned on both act as Bixenons when high beam is activated

Correct.

There are ways to have the setup working full bi xenon but extra wiring looms will be needed, is it worth it, don't think so lol.

I think I understand but not fully... Had to read that post a couple of times to figure out what it meant lol

So basically what we are getting is just the xenon, NOT another set of halogen (as per stock for high beam) ???

So the bulbs that work are
- indicator
- Parker light
- xenon that you are sorting out
?

When your dipped beam is turned off, your high beam is solely just your H7 bulb (halogen or which every type of bulb you choose).

When you turn on your dipped (Xenons) they then act as both your dipped and high beam along with your H7 high beam.

Correct.

Thanks @mark_S3 for clearing it up.

OEM xenons that are on your car are a Low beam projector, the new one is a bi xenon which has a shield assembly inside and I get the feed from the high beam so when you flash that shield will drop in the projector lifting the beam to assist with night driving. So even tho the projectors I'm putting in will be an upgrade you also get the added bonus of the bi xenon function.

how big of an upgrade are the ice-white high beams? are they bluish?

can you explain what the 'LED sidelights' are?

@Erikn89nl They are just a drop in Bulb.

they have a blue glass but when they are turned on they will be pure white to match to the xenon.

The LED sidelight is the parking light I think you call it in Europe, they are the 1st click of your headlight switch.

So driving with dipped is the xenon in ''dipped'' only side spots 'out' = 2 light sources ....

then driving with 'full beam'' side halogen spots 'on' xenon ''ON + changed beam pattern'' = 4 light sources

Main beam flash , halogens will light as normal , assume xenon will have delay in striking - or instant ?

Q also xenon power increased on ''full beam'' ?

Tnx -G,

No lights on
Flash lights = Main beam comes on for duration of flash

Side light on
Side lights on permenantly
Flash lights = Main beam comes on for duration of flash

Headlights on Dipped
Xenon projectors on permenantly dipped
Flash lights = Main beam comes on for duration of flash + Xenon drops shutter and is now main beam too for duration of flash

Headlights on full beam
Xenon is full beam along with main beam on

Guess on the same page , whats the strike time for the xenon ? the standard take a little time to flash up ? [ k7aus kf7tce ?]

I will test my ones tomo and put some pictures up of my ballasts that will be coming with these.

Initial turn on you get 100 percent power as its a push of a surge, then it will dim down and brighten up as the bulb gets to its operating temp.

This is totally correct. My 35w 4300 kit was amazing because of the top quality ballast and bulbs. Hoping to go back to 55w but I'll see what trups thinks when I send sum new lights over. The beam was amazing! Even now they're better than my LEDs my M135i run. The cut off was sublime and much sharper. The beena has a distorted cut off and I hate it.

ok i'm glad i wasn't the only one a little bit hazy on the lighting side of things but i get it now!

thanks all for clearing that up but pics/movies to help visualise it will also be super helpful
