Yup definitely enjoying it. Funny you should mention cleaning, it has also rekindled the passion of cleaning a car, so much so I'm watching detailing clips on you tube and thinking about getting a clay bar, I'll post a pic after the next time I've cleaned itFantastic return. Glad you're still enjoying yours. Still loving mine as well, especially in the sun and keeping it lovely and clean.

Driving home from work on my usual 35 mile commute, its all dual carriage way and motorway so not much stop starting, speed varied from 50mph to 68mph but mainly 59mph on cruise control. What was the driving speed? Was cruise control used?

I'll check that out, did you wax or polish afterwards?Used a G3 Clay Mitt today for the first time. Above photo was taken afterwards. Must say, I covered the full car in about a 1/4 of the time it would take a clay bar to do it. And the car is silky smooth. Was great before I did it but now it's fantastic. 1st time I've done this car, but parked under a tree today and it was covered in sap!! I'd try it out if I were you. Like a clay bar but I may be a convert.

Very good mpg you got there. Best i have got from my 1.6tdi is 64mpg on the motorway with cruise set at 80mph ish. havent got higher yet but then i havent been going 50-60ish! I would be interested in a comparison run without cruise set. wonder if it might return more mpg as you can feather the pedal when you like? I wasnt in "E" mode like you but i guess it helps being in it so i might try it out at the weekend on the way to Somerset.
I still can figure out these cars honestly, I had a brand new 2.0 TDI S-tronic late last year, out the wrapper, and could achieve 50mpg doing local journeys. The car is have now it 2 1/2 years only, 30k miles, exact same spec, and lucky to achieve 50 even on long motorway stints. Most recently Glasgow - Blackpool on cruise control 80mph almost all the way there and back and lucky if I saw 53mpg
Don't think e mode works in improving cruise control on Diesel engines as much as it would on 1.4 Tfsi as I hear it shuts on cylinders that are not needed. E mode gives you less power when pushing gas pedal I believe which is what you wouldn't be doing with cruise

That don't sound right. Considering age. I know 65 is the best for hunting high mpg but it's not practical lol

I don't normally drive as I did last night but there was only light traffic and I was in no rush. Normal driving conditions return low to mid 60's, driving at 80ish low to mid 50's. I have also found that there is not much difference between the modes on my diesel mpg wise. What the modes do provide is a better response to the right foot depending on the situation, busy motorway during I will leave it in dynamic, plodding and not bothered about rushing it's in effiency, I have got used to the dynamic mode and I finding myself wondering about chipping or getting an S3That don't sound right. The e-mode doesn't have anything to do with COD, as it is implimented whatever mode you've set it to. Using cruise will not help mpg unless you drive on totally flat roads or, when not using it, the throttle is used as a an on off switch...Don't think e mode works in improving cruise control on Diesel engines as much as it would on 1.4 Tfsi as I hear it shuts on cylinders that are not needed. Same car and don't get close to 50 round the doors, I average about 43 overall, car 3 months old. Only get 50 and offer on motorway runs.I still can figure out these cars honestly, I had a brand new 2.0 TDI S-tronic late last year, out the wrapper, and could achieve 50mpg doing local journeys.
