As title really. Looking for a bit of inspiration as to what looks good/bad against the colour. I'm going to be lowering my Special Edition Avant but I don't want to discard the DTM alloys...so I'm wondering what options I have re wheel colour (I'm thinking light anthracite) and how it'll look against the Avus...

Couldn't agree more. I've never had a set of black wheels and never will. To me you lose all the detail in the wheel and of course the tyres need kept perfectly black at all times too, even then it only looks good on a handful of cars at best.
Light anthracite is my preferred option at the moment.

dimi, stick with the oz's , they are such a good match for the car, rotors are nice but not a patch on the oz rims.

it is a bit like clothing, some things make you look taller others shorter etc, wheels are very similar, solid pattern and larger/thicker spoke rims look smaller than the same rim with thinner spokes or less spokes, my 18" rials look much larger than the 18" 7 spoke rs4 reps prior, its all an optical illusion but can have a massive impact on how a car looks, wheels maketh a car more than any other cosmetic part.

Avus silver here too, silver wheels look a lot better I think, my rear wheel is dirty here, but I know this sounds weird, but when they are dirty they look small, but when clean look a lot bigger lol, or this might be in my head
