yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Mines been sat at Tyne port since last Saturday. Due to head upto Perth in Scotland. Booked in for collection on the 2nd Sept. The wait is agonising !!

Hi everyone,

I am new to this site but not new to driving Audi's.

My A4 avant order is currently at Emden so hopefully it will be arriving on Teesside within the next few weeks after reading this thread.

I've gone to 60 overnight. Dealer called with registration number today too. Now hunting insurance. Audi insurance has always been great for me, but my model/engine combo isn't on their systems yet.... Very odd.
Any recommendations of insurers who would use Audi approved repair centres?

Good to hear! I've just had my registration number too which is cool.
Arranged to pick up on the 5th September when I return off holiday. (Pending no major delays with it getting to the dealers)

Can't recommend insurers unfortunately, Never had to make a Claim for my B7 with Elephant

It went from starting being built on the 11th to delivered in 25th. Just 2 weeks!
 
I'm jealous of you guys now, I got offered 1st Collection, but i'm way too far down south on holiday. It is tempting to come back and get it for the day. Nice 6 hour drive to break it in.

You best be posting lots of pictures once collected!

Pick next Thursday - goes in for detailing on the following Monday, pics by the following weekend .. And I suspect there will be a few excited new owners posting pics :)

I hope so. I read so many reviews & watched endless YouTube videos that i knew this was the right car for me. I didn't take a test drive so that when I drive it away that will be the first time I've experienced it. That is either going to be the most inspirational or idiotic thing I've ever done!
 
The dealer told me I can't track my order until it's built - is that right?

Nope, You can track it a few days / weeks after the order has been submitted. My dealer originally said the same thing. Just ask for the order number.

Thanks! Have order number so will keep trying over the next couple weeks! Dealer has given an ETA of November 4th. Trying not to get too excited!!

Hi all

First time Audi for me, been a BMW man until now but the 3 Series has become a bit bland for me, particularly the interior when compared to the new Audi's, and I couldn't wait until the new 3 Series release.
Have been lurking on these forums for a few weeks whilst, gathering the wealth of knowledge available, whilst I umm'd and ahh'd over my spec. So thanks retrospectively for your help!

Sounds like it will be a lovely car! I always fancied BMW's, but I went with the A4 again for the same reason. Interior is spot on!
 
Hurrah mine has started tracking - makes it that bit more exciting!!! I clearly got an earlier slot as the order date is in July which is long before my order was placed.

Build date of October 3rd apparently, so guess that sounds about right with the initial November 4th estimate from the dealer. Just found out the dealer was not to far from home (was a fleet order) - so I might see if they can let me collect rather than deliver!

Well that's just typical, yesterday it was 24c and the sun was shining today it's 15c and raining!

Anyway I'm finally picking up my new car and hopefully some roof bars and accessories.

Mine has been sat at Quality Control since the 19th...... I'm guessing they've sprayed it the wrong colour or something! It actually started build a week early but now seems to be delayed. Will speak to the dealer today to see if I can find out why!

Wow. Mind you I read a few posts earlier in this thread in which some cars spent longer in QC. Hope the dealer has some positive news for you.
 
I recall reading somewhere that 2 weeks can be normal for QA then it jumps to being loaded to ship?

Spoke to the dealer today - it's still showing as in QA on his system and definitely hasn't left the factory yet. He's put in an enquiry to the UK Sales / Production office to find out why it's been delayed and whether it's going to be held for much longer. The wait continues!
 
Guess mine is on the way. Way ahead of schedule. Just a shame I've had to pull out due to life's little issues.:sob:
 
Yeah, quick call, no problems (was a little worried after only putting down £250 and adding 6K on options).
Short term problem preventing me from having the funds required to get the car. nothing really serious

When do they expect to be able to get an answer to you?
 
Er, well my build is supposed to be 3rd Oct but just checked on yourAudi and it's jumped straight from preparation to quality control?
I'm guessing this is a mistake?
It's actually showing as order status 30 which I just read in FAQ means it's left Ingolstadt!

Mine is scheduled for Oct 3rd build week too - Still showing prep but they only update at 01:00 daily. What does you API progress say? See some earlier posts on how to find it. I have setup a daily script to check the status and E-Mail me...
