Evening all, does anyone know anywhere i can get my rear Haldex overhauled or is is just an issue of finding a replacement ?? Mine seems to be slipping a lot if i perform a u turn or when reversing.
Any info/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Check the earth strap on the top that goes to the underbody is still attached also.

appreciate responses guys....
I did a Haldex service 4 moths ago (Oil and Filter), it hadn't been changes for 2 yrs before that i am told. i will check the earth strap out tomorrow.

for the sake of £12 and half hour I would check the oil again - maybe it has been leaking.

maybe a weird question but are you rear brakes okay? when I changed my rear brakes the were not adjusted and the first part of my journey I had ESP AWD errors and the rear was hopping until they had auto adjusted correctly.

Can somebody tell me what is an Haldex coupling. I have an A3 8v 2013 2.0 tdi does mine need servicing

Is it a Quattro if so will have one it's what controls the 4wd couldn't tell you if it needs servicing ask in the 8v section they will know service intervals for your model or look in user manual

Try the pre charge pump. Mine failed and used to slip. Worth giving it a try.

There is a company refurbished Hadex units, they advertised on E.Bay for a while but I haven't looked recently, I had a link but my helpful computer seems to have lost it, I will see if I have anything written down, remember that a pen and a bit of paper, great old fashioned reliable equipment. I will post anything I fond up but don't hold your breath as I think it is well and truly lost. For a long time there wasn't anyone so when I found this I was quite excited as beyond filter and oil changes most people are clueless, me included.
Ah Google is my friend; http://www.autofaultfinder.com/index-9.html

Worst case scenario - pre-charge pump needs changing or the Haldex controller. Best case scenario, a Haldex oil and filter change will fix it but my money is on the controller. Notorious for electrical faults. Get VCDS plugged in on it.
