Torque intervention - what is it and why?

So, following the DPF, Turbo and EGR replacements I now have loss of power between 1-2k (initially only felt in 7th but now down to 3rd) and a torque intervention error code logged (no engine management light yet). Anybody explain what this is and why it might be happening? I can only find links to gearbox issues which I could really do without.

Possibly fixed, issue caused by a new DPF sensor fitted when they sent the DPF for cleaning, replaced, test drive, seems ok.

Onwards with brakes and gearbox oil. (next month!)
