Facelift THE NEW AUDI A3 (2016 FACELIFT) – STILL AHEAD OF THE CURVE

Saw 4 FL A3 in Audi West London today (a SB Sport Monsoon Grey, a SB S Line Daytona Grey, a Saloon S Line Nano Grey and outside a SB S Line Black which was... well, how to put it, like a black car outside... dirty!)
The 2 S Lines had Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 tyres (225/40/R18 92Y). http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Hankook/Ventus-S1-evo2.htm
All 3 greys look nice but Daytona is on another level of greatness :) Especially when you have 3 cars pretty much side by side each with a different grey it's just striking.
And the Nano Grey is going to mark easily for sure. The paint is so uni dimensional that it'll show everything.
^^ My opinion. Don't burn me at the stake please :whistle2:

Oh yes there was a White S5 Coupe with BSP as well. Nice!

Couldnt agree more about nano grey.

Bought my wife a nano grey a1 in january.
Sold it in june as was so fed up of the work needed to keep the paint looking decent.
It shows every single mark.

Bought her a Scirocco now......so much better.

Still no s3 though!

I don't suppose you would do me a favour? Would you be able to get your dealer to screen shot his order screen, obviously blank out any personal info, and send it to me.

It would show the options inc. Matrix Lights and the build week confirming everything.

Don't worry if not... it would just help me when going back to the my dealer to ask why I can't get them and others are. It's been really frustrating that whenever i query them or Audi Uk about it, i get a default response saying I or others are mistaken and I can't get a car with them
I would love to take all doubt out of the equation and hopefully get them moving. You're not the only one this week with BW and matrix lights so obviously there are other issues with my order.

Obviously i would understand if you didn't want to.

Given the less than stellar record for specification accuracy achieved so far, I'd be mental not to ask for this anyway....

Sorry but that facelift S3 bumper/valence is so ugly. Looks like a cheesy smile. Will definitely be sticking with my MY16 S3.

Can't understand anyone wasting money upgrading for an extra 10 brake.

Sounds like a good idea :)

I'm upgrading for twice as many seats, more comfort, twice the driven wheels and 150 extra brake...

The facelift also gives you the options of LED headlights, including matrix LED's, virtual cockpit, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and embedded sim for unlimited data.

Whether people like the looks/appearance is really down to personal preference. :)

You have mostly listed optional extras and some superficial standard equipment is it true your chopping in the new TT for a S3?

In all honesty l have considered and optioned a S3 saloon it came in around £47k no compromise given but l just couldn't as hard l thought about it do it,when a few more quid gets me a lesser specced faster car, hopefully when it arrives lol ???? Av learned big time about the optional extras in conjunction with depreciation and GMFV's which make a good bit of difference to your monthly payments A £47k S3 will cost me more than a £50k RS3 etc etc

I don't need to think, quite clearly there is an sline badge on the front wings and a tdi badge on the boot lid...

Long time lurker here. Umming and arring over whether to take the plunge or not.
Have had my current A3 s line sport back for a year and love it but I have specced a facelift up and can get the following
  • Sportback/sedan 2.0 tdi s tronic
  • Comfort and sound
  • Advanced tech
  • Metallic paint
  • Folding mirrors
  • Roof rails
For £28100 or £28400 respectively. Selling my current car it will only be about £10k so seems a no brainer really. But it's also a fair whack for wanting the virtual cockpit (gadget lover that I am!).

Hoping for a test drive soonish in both to at least make a shape decision.

OOsh, same colour as mine, kinda wish I'd stretched for those alloys now. The diffuser looks better than I thought it would

Looks quite high...Meaning that the non FL is lower? That one would need some lowering, I think. But really nice looking!

Yeah I can see what you mean, but I know this may go against the grain but it could be a blessing for me as I will be using it for fishing and as a result will be driving on rough farm tracks.
