I'd recommend tarox strada pads and some braided lines made a huge difference in mine ,or if you keep yours eyes open you can get a ttrs set up at a good price ,
Alex I hope to see you later this month if your not at work ???

That would be great...keep me informed.

Thank you.....the idea was to try and put all of the parts and mods in one thread,so that it's all there for anyone who wants to use it,and one day, tidy it all up when/if it's all completed.

I'm assuming the 90mm S3 8P downpipe on the BCS Facebook page is yours Alex?

Judging by the tires and the wheels I'd say that's Alex's up on the ramp which means awsome update coming soon :)

All of the above....

There is always good and bad news....the good first of all.

BCS are building the exhaust, and you can see it's fairly chunky.

The bad news is that the car isn't driveable any time soon,as the clutch has had it,and the gearbox needs replacing,so even when the exhaust is done,it's not a runner.

But.....they did find where some nasty squealing sounds were coming from, when the old exhaust got hot and wet(!)....

First of all...the prop shaft is 8yrs old,so no marks for prettiness.
The exhaust clamp bolts had been biting into it.

Rear,at the Haldex end....more of the same.

And the first part of BCS's handiwork....

This car always takes longer than anticipated to get running ......I ought to know this by now, after the engine build which took 3 months longer than expected.

Hopefully this lot won't,but the clutch is so shot, that it barely drives right now,and that's leaving the other jobs aside.....we had to get it winched onto the trailer!

First part of the exhaust looks awsome and rather thick !

Dave has blended the screamer into the 90mm section so the overall area at the merge remains the same.
Really neatly done.....

Dave has been very busy.....

I have no chance to use this right now,as it's on it's way for the next steps,so no driving, and no testing, and no clutch.....
I'm thinking that summer will be gone by the time we get it running.....

The quality looks to be everything I'd expected, and the thought behind the design reflects both Dave and Nige's work with me to get the result we want.
The back box looks a LOT smaller than the one BCS normally use,and the pipe work is much bigger, with the 90mm section running straight to the bumper, and the back box running off the smaller side arm.

Very nice touch with the bolted section allowing access to the Haldex.

The proof will come in a while, after Storm get to work some magic.

That's looks epic and your right the suit case part def looks smaller ,maybe something to do with the flow and pressure your car produces/requires

Looks like a lot of work has gone into making that system Alex. The quality looks fantastic in the pictures and as you say the bolt up section in between the Haldex is a great idea for ease of servicing, ....hopefully BCS might start looking at doing that on their "standard" S3 systems. :sunglasses:

The back box is pretty small, but then the major part of the exhaust flow is through the main pipe,so that box is only dealing with a small amount of flow.
As far as I can remember, the valve opens at less than 0.5bar.

No....they're going to tempt all of you to go for the full fat 3582 setup.....LOL.

It may be that we've had a lot of discussions about this system, and were very keen to get all the aspects right, and another point is the front section would otherwise be a pig to dismantle, and the whole system would need to come off.

I won't have a chance to try it for some time due to the other issues, but it looks "right".

Trust me on this ...

I would be surprised if a company would tell people whos cars they've been working on for security reasons, especially on social media.

Haven't seen many of those but I take it that's a DSG box then? :)

That's a DQ500 DSG box.

Needs a few extras like mounts and transfer case, but Storm have that in hand.

The beauty of this one is that it can handle over 600lbs,and the clutches can cope, plus the Syvecs is ready to run a DSG box .

Sounds awesome & exactly what your car needs I'd imagine. :sunglasses:

I don't know a lot about those boxes, ...with it & the Syvecs ECU does it/can it do "rev matching" on the downshift?
