Hi all, I am after a bit of information if anyone can help, I have noticed when I am driving down B roads if I go down a steep drop my car seems to lose power for a split second , its almost like the car is putting its brakes on for that split second , otherwise she is running spot on , I can live with it but if someone could shed some light on it that would be great ,,

Are you maybe just experiencing engine braking?

It happens when you remove your foot from the accelerator pedal and you're not accelerating (in any vehicle with an internal combustion engine) which allows the vehicle to slow down slightly due to the compression and friction from moving parts of the engine thus slowing the vehicle slightly.

Or is it something else you're on about?

Is the car mapped
