Still status 38 at Emden. Audi have come with some story that my car was one of the first in the compound and all the newer cars have come in behind my car meaning that the newer cars have all been shipped prior to my one.

Nearly a month it's been at the Port now.
 
There are 2 ships due into the port of tyne from Emden, one arrives tomorrow, The other on the 31st, both are vehicle carriers, so its not too great a leap of logic to say they may very well be carrying some Audi's of one description or the other, i just hope one of them is mine.
 
Mine has arrived on Monday, taking delivery this Saturday. Can't wait!

Least you can correct swirls and light imperfections - anything major will show up after they've "cleaned" it and then you have a comeback if anythings majorly wrong I.e. Dents when you collect the car

I mailed the dealer again, i have agreed they can remove the glue and stickers etc. and give it a basic wash, so as i can inspect the paint for defects and scratches, once i am happy i'll take my new toy home wash it (properly i might add) , attack it with my dual action polisher, lavish some Zymol carbon on it, then make the interior smell like wrigleys juicy fruit. I can hardly wait.

That's a bit rough. Can't be too much longer.
Apart from the drive home from the dealer on Monday and trip to Brum yesterday mines been tucked away in the garage & likely to be until Monday when go back to work.
Got to admit I'm pretty impressed especially coming from an A4 B8.5. It feels totally different to the one I test drove.

I wouldn't buy that. A month at port is taking the mick. Have you got onto Audi UK and logged a complaint? Drop @AudiUK a tweet showing your dis-satisfaction as they take note asap via social media as the audience is massive.... It's worked for me before with other things.

I looked at the online shipping manifest on the port of tyne website, there were only two ships due from Emden (which is Audi's usual port for sending cars to Newcastle) both ships, when i looked up the names of the ships they are car carriers. Its nothing I can 100% confirm but likely. My status changed to "your audi is on its way to the Uk" at 2 am, so it looks like car carrier "city of amsterdam " is carrying my S3 and is due in to the port of Tyne at 16:00 today.

what was your buildate?
 
Mine has moved to "Panel Shop" this morning so looking good for next week build. :smiley:

Went into prep on 26/7 and then Panel Shop 28/7, original build week 31

It was due to be built on the 25/6/16, however it ended up getting built a week early, Which I was incredulous about initially, but Audi confirmed this to be the case. Hopefully Audi's initial estimate of delivery on Monday the 15th of August (that's my birthday, so happy days) is accurate. Because I have been without a car whilst i was waiting for the S3 (I ordered at the beginning of March and was supposed to have my S3 this month) Audi have agreed to lend me a TT roadster (i'll pick it up on Monday) until I take delivery of my S3.

That really sucks, the problem i have found is that the Audi UK dealers (they are just a franchise after all) don't seem to have any real power to do anything with with Audi GmbH, and will as often as not spin you a yarn to get you off the phone, frustrating i know. Does the Audi tracker say the car has left Ingolstadt?

If you don't get any joy from the dealer I'd tweet Audi directly about it, a bit of public shaming seems to get them all exited about it.
 
Our cabriolet has arrived in the UK. It's all been pretty quick, but I'm sure it'll be a while before it hits Belfast.

I hadn't realised until today that our car wasn't built in Germany, but rather in the new Hungarian plant.

Yes, I think the A3 saloon, A3 Cabriolet, Audi TT Coupe and Audi TT Roadster are made there.

Don't be so sure, my sportback left Ingolstadt on the 12th July, arrived in the UK on 19th, and made it to Belfast Audi last Saturday. I only got back from holiday tonight so am going to pick it up in the morning, so you might get yours quite quickly (4days for me from UK arrival to being in Belfast).

As for tracking the order on yourAudi, mine has been spot on - until it arrived at Grimsby. After leaving Emden it took 4 days to update to status 60 arrived in the UK (ship takes +/-1.5 days). It's now been at the dealership all week, they sent me a presentation video today and I get it in 10 hours time, but still not moved onto status 70. But I'm finally done tracking now anyway!
 
My tracker is now showing a BW of 35! Its moved by a week in the past few days i was 36 the other day. Getting really excited now!

I have to confess, the first time I checked was 3am :help::yahoo:

The raw code page shows "orderStatus": "30" Your Audi has left Ingolstadt, so who knows..

Finally have my build week and it's week 36 :)

Now the wait begins (which is tough considering I placed my initial order in February :( )

Can you see the order in youraudi? Almost sounds like it's a dealer estimate, maybe if they have exceeded their allocation this quarter or something.

Just got logged onto youraudi. Mine was ordered 19/05/16 and is currently saying BW 38 (19th September) for construction.

Sorry yeah was confusing you with someone in another thread who is waiting til December!

Mine is bw 37 although the pic in youraudi is showing a R8 at the moment ;)

Mine was supposed to be built next week but the trackers already saying its in the paint shop!

Have been able to add my order of my S3 Saloon to youraudi but the model detail is showing strange codes instead. Is this normal? Checking the JSON file shows all my options as correct.
