Hello,

My S3 is ready to go stage 2 of which I'll be booking it in next month, stage 2+ won't be happening until at least 2018 unfortunately and this is when I'll be going for a BCS Powervalve TBE (De-Cat).

I'm currently stage 1 with a Revo CAI (Camcoated), GFB DV+ and just had the pre-cat delete done on my stock DP of which Revo has said is enough to go stage 2.

I'll be going to see a mate tonight to fit the LCR Splitter of which he did some great work on the exhaust of an old Mini by doing a complete straight through system. I'm considering what work we can do on my stock exhaust before I go stage 2, as even though I've done both the pre-cat delete and butterfly valve delete, I still want the exhaust to be a little louder until the BCS arrives.

I've read through comments and from what I've seen, people say leave the back box on as a bit of back pressure is important on turbo cars, plus it is ridonkulously loud (S3Alex did this I believe).

I'm not up to scratch on the S3 stock exhaust but is all that's left in the center the cat, or does it have a center silencer as well? I just want a straight through system until the back box, which should hopefully make it a little louder.

Thanks.

There's a silencer after the cat.
I had resonated miltek before non res and non res made things louder. I guess that deleting the mid silencer should make things louder...

Thanks S, so it should be fairly staright forward then to remove the cat & silencer and replace with a straight through pipe.

Don't know as i've got complete tbe. But you are basicly making you own downpipe, wouldn't it be easier to get aftermarket downpipe? You could be in similar money work?

It is.

Ear splittingly loud.

I'll report on what BCS are up to on mine.

I have a cobra sports cat down pipe that ill be mating with my oem cat back, once I get the right joiner. Then Stage2+ once i have the fuel pump and induction kit.

My friend had a miltek non res cat back on his S3 and tbh wasn't a fan. After doing research on exhausts, I found its the downpipe on the S3 that strangles flow, as you can see below!

Cheers fellas, we had a look yesterday whilst the car was up in the air and to be honest, it looks like too much of a job to do just for a little bit more sound, so will have to wait until the BCS Powervalve TBE for stage 2+.

Got the LCR Splitter on though and looking good, so I'm at least happy with that!
