im wondering in the rs3 exhaust would fit in my s3. The tone and the bangs are intoxicating to me. I'm guessing it won't be exactly the same as the difference in engine but does anybody know if this would be possible? Even if I could just fit the twin mid pipes? Would this make a difference? I've got a catted dp fitted now so I'm wondering if it would be a good mod.

The RS3 zorst appears to use some sort of magyk as no one really seems to know how it works! Even over on the owners site.

TX.

I tried google with no luck..It seems you have to go for an aftermarket exhaust.I'm sure there are plenty of aftermarket suppliers who would help you out with what you are after..Is Powervalve a sponsor on here?

2.5 TFSi, specific mapping, very highly-engineered exhaust dynamics. Your best bet is a decent aftermarket RESONATED exhaust (eg BCS) and a custom map, you still won't get the same sounds.

Agreed, the fuel system will be set up to inject fuel on overrun etc.. this creates all the pops and bangs. Nothing to do with the exhaust. Same as when thb exhaust cracks on upshift.. It's the ecu

Not just that. The 5cyl has an uneven engine run, obviously, which will give it that distinctive warble, offbeat overrun noise and assist with the pops and crackles.

Those cars are so fast the drivers were able to travel back in time to the fifties and get themselves some spiffy crocheted driving gloves!

Try the Sunday paper magazines.Next to where they sell the elasticated waste trousers and the shoes with the zips that run up the middle:hopelessness:

Will these be the PFL boots or FL ?
Just so you know what title to give the new thread...Either way worth it for the free Brut..My Denim for Men is running out..:whistle2:

Has anyone actually tried driving with both feet in a big shoe? Possibly alright if you're in an auto!

So, could a custom map be able to produce the pops and crackles? I test drove an A45 AMG before I settled on the S3 and it sounded awesome! Unfortunately, needed something a bit more practical.

Am afraid the RS3's exhaust/engine sound....is like....what can l say....erm...buy one, that's why most do.....and its a good bit faster...than a S3 into the bargain

The A45 sounds cr@p

BTW what's the flashing red light on the RS3 dash between the gear indicator and the outside temp, a reflection from the camera?

in all seriousness (and in my own opinion of course) i love the A45 exhaust, especially on the facelift. Don't get me wrong I love the S3 exhaust too its great in dynamic mode, but it could do with being a little more... well, just a little more.

I hear what you're saying but it's still a 4 cylinder and has nothing on the RS3.

On that we agree, If i could afford an RS3, i would have gotten one, its worth it for the sound alone. I am a massive fan of the 5 cylinder warble having owned both a Volvo s60 R and ford focus ST (I had after market exhausts on both, for my sins)
