My build week is this week starting today and the status on yourAudi is still 'Order Received' is this normal?

Wouldn't be too concerned mate, I think your Audi doesn't get updated continuously. Last week mine was showing BW 30 and then it went to quality control status (a week earlier than expected) then today, I get the email attached as a pic saying its out the factory on its way, but youraudi is still showing as in quality control - I think they only update the system once or twice a week or something lol

Well mine has been sat in QC for over a week now- really frustrating!!

@mightychipster having been built at the same time as yours can I assume yours has landed in the UK?!!!

I've just gone to Preparation stage and have a BW of 35, just wondering if this means it could be sooner?

Also could anyone explain all the steps in the tracking process and how long it takes between each one?
 
Not yet. Apparently it's on its way to the ferry terminal, no update for a week now.

My S3 was due to be built in the week starting 1st August, but has just changed to the "preparation" stage on yourAudi :hearteyes:

My build week is 33 but changed overnight to 'Preparation' also, not getting my hopes up yet though!

I've just had the same update, was due to start the build on the 15th Aug and this morning its in Prep....guessing it takes a couple weeks to get the parts together maybe?
 
I'm BW31, next week, and also changed to "Preparation" overnight.
 
Same here, build week 34 (22/08/2016) but changed to Preparation this morning. Was expecting it to change around 3rd August based on previous people's status changes.

Its agonising watching it go from "Order Received" to "Preparation" after four weeks but knowing it wont be built for another 5 weeks!

Will anyone be asking for a courtesy car during the time it takes to get delivered? I seen on forums before that some people have managed to get this.
 
I have a build week of 36. Not getting hopes up but if all your trackers are changing........ lol

I got excited that mine had changed to Preparation (BW33) but it looks like everyone's has... lol

If it's any help to you (and everyone else who's just moved to "in preparation" status 20), mine was BW28, 11th July... moved to status 20 on 21st June. 2 weeks later on the Wednesday night/Thursday morning (7th July, the week before it's official build date) it moved on to stage 21 (panel shop) and went through one stage each day - on Thursday night it moved to paint shop(22), Friday night/Saturday am into assembly(23) and on Sunday night/Monday am to QC(24), leaving Ingolstadt (status30) the next day, Tuesday 12th July (day two of its actual build week!)

The meanings of the different codes was listed earlier in this thread, but to save newcomers searching back, I took a screenshot ages ago so I could refer to it and track my progress, hope this helps!

The descriptions on the yourAudi site (step 8) have changed since that was posted, status 30 and 38 show the train below, 39 the ship, and 40 and 60 both show the truck. Mine arrived at the dealer on Saturday but is still only showing as status 60 "arrived in the UK". I have been very lucky though, others have taken much longer!

Thanks for this, sounds like yours went through pretty quick and smoothly.

Are they 100% sure it's with the Lights? I've spoken to a few people at Audi and they have all said it's not possible at this time. I have even been shown an official email from 4 days ago stating that there was a further delay with no cars with Matrix Beam headlights specced being built until Quarter 4. My car with Matrix lights still does not have a build week.

Just be sure I would ask them to email you a screen print of the 'Vehicle detailed information screen' which should show you the options selected and the Build week in one place.

Yes they are sure. The contacted admin yesterday and they said cars with matrix lights are now being allocated a build week. My hold up with it was because of the lights, my order hasnt been changed

All I know is Audi UK and My dealer have both stated that NO cars are being built with Matrix Lights.

I'm getting very frustrated now as I honestly do not know who or what to believe. Having said that though I would be wary of the online tracker as it does have a tendency to lie (not that I am saying it is) and would be doing all I can to double Check with my Dealer and Audi UK if I was you.

Out of curiosity which engine have you specced? **EDIT** Never mind I can see it's a 1.6 TDI :)

And all im saying is that my dealer says that spoke to audi admin and they are now putting them out with matrix. U say u spoke to them 4 dayd ago. I spoke to them yesterday
 
Ordered more than a week ago, September can't come round soon enough!

Sorry i'm only trying to help!

I Spoke to my dealer yesterday and Audi UK today. Both said the same thing. The 4 days ago you refer to is an email forwarded onto me by my deàler yesterday to proof to me what he was saying was correct. It was sent to all dealers 4 days ago.
 
1 of us is being told the truth i just hope its you :)

Yes it's there but I'm pretty sure it's a mistake as I haven't specced it. Electric seats is another option shown which wasn't specced either:shrug:
 
Got an email today saying my S3 has left Ingolstadt, fortunately my Audi dealership is Tyneside Audi, and the port of Tyne is one of the destinations for the cargo ship. I also sent a mail to the BDM asking that they dont prep the exterior of the car at all, strange request I know, but I want to detail it myself. When i picked my GTD from benfield a year ago and when i inspected the paint it was hologramed all over, which meant the first thing i did was spend quite a bit of time correcting it, something I am keen to avoid this time.

Doesn't sound strange at all - I was thinking of doing the same but decided against it, as if it's caked in dirt you could potentially miss scratches or dents etc which would be far more difficult to get them to resolve when you've taken on the liability of taking delivery of a dirty car and cleaning it yourself.

I'd rather take the job of correcting some defects in paint than having to go back to the dealer with proper damage to panels or paintwork and try and prove it wasn't me. But that's just in my opinion :)

Thats a good point, it be worth recinding my request, however i can see Tyneside Audi from my office window, and i have witnessed many times how they 'prep' cars which is to say; pressure wash it, give a tickle with the same dirty sponge and manky water, then macine polish it in under 10 mins (for the whole car). But i'd rather have the piece of mind i didnt damage the paint at all.
 
New to this forum, below is my story.

Ordered an S6 on 5th April, not the most popular car I know, 3.5 months wait, now the status is "your car has left ingolstadt", guess another 2/3 weeks before I can get my hands on the wheel. Hmm, it's a long wait.

Yeah couldn't agree with you more mate - when I worked at a dealer it made me wince seeing the dirty sponges, shamois leather, dirty water and dirty microfibre cloths they used. As an avid detailer myself I know where you're coming from as my first instinct was to tell them not to clean it but it's a case of having to choose the lesser of two evils as a one off really :(

Least you can correct swirls and light imperfections - anything major will show up after they've "cleaned" it and then you have a comeback if anythings majorly wrong I.e. Dents when you collect the car

Just had a call from my dealer about the matrix lights. The factory is having problems with them and no cars are going out with them :-( so im removing them from my order.

I know me too but hey wasnt to be lol

I took them off and replaced with adaptive cruise control and electric folding mirrors which i also wanted but was on a budget. So not all is lost
 
Has anybody had this with YourAudi, ordered a 2.0 Tdi salon in Monsoon Grey on 30/6.
My car is shown as "Status 24" in QC and my build date was 22/8, it just went to "status 20" yesterday, so i don't know if it's built or going to be built on the 18th of Aug, I'm confused, but if it leave's Gyor soon i'll be delighted. I'm not taking it till Sept anyway but better early than late Sept
