Well happy with that for couple of hours work, some sandpaper and lacquer off ebay.

That's a fine job, a man after my own heart, and saves you £100+

How much is that oil thingy lol

Draper 77057 manual or pneumatic oil extractor around £94. You can get other makes/models manual only (which is all you need) for a LOT less but this thing is built like a tank and will probably last a lifetime. Doing oil changes every 6k as I'm prob around 380-390hp so it'll soon pay for itself. 30 mins start to finish and no mess or grovelling under the car !!

Had my S3 on the rollers at Ecotune in Glasgow. She made more than 300hp but im not fussed about numbers, more concerned about how driveable the car is!

Had my car remapped, smooth things out a bit and give me a bit more power. She's now stage1 APR so a bit closer to 400hp than 300. Intake/exhaust and some cosmetics and I'm all done!

Had a road trip down to Coventry and back for Waxstock.

600+ miles and the car was excellent the whole way, surprised how well the car still performs in economy mode.

Bought myself a Gecko air freshener too. Keep me happy for a while

Has anyone found paddle shifter extensions that will fit the 8V A3's paddles? I bought some before but turned out they were for the previous generation and didn't fit :(

Well we do urinate like everyone else but no more AFAIK
With the amount of alcohol Aussies drink, we would urinate above average I expect
Well, maybe he/she is in ozaudi, the local Audi forum plus I've owned VAG cars for a decade and been annoying local forums for a long time
Neither I, nor my feminine side, are in ozaudi. I found this forum and stayed here , plus I like pome gits. :salute:And who doesn't like VAG!!... cars :whistle2:

Looks awesome. I'm trying to find somewhere to buy the black window trim. Either to to ship here or in Australia. So far I've found only horrendous pricing.

What I did to my A3 today was turn back and admire it, and considered myself dam lucky to own what I think is a spectacular car!View attachment 97664 View attachment 97665

Will have had it 2 years tomorrow and have loved every minute of owning it. Great external looks, classy interior and a brilliant 1.4 cod engine which no only still surprises me with its umph, but also gives me 50mpg quite regularly! Proud owner!

As I have a similar car (and also love the 1.4COD engine) I wondered where you got your black mirrors. As I have the BSP they would look good on my car also.

I wrapped mine myself mate! Got some 5D gloss carbon fibre wrap off Amazon, decent quality stuff for only about £10. I've seen some members on here using the propercarbon fibre mirror caps, and they look great! Just not as keen on the price tag, although I read somewhere recently some members were getting them from a website for about £90 I think?

Yesterday - 240 mile traffic free journey up the A1M...in 4 hours including a stop for coffee, averaged 63 mph , and only encountered one knob (in an A class Mercedes)

On the return journey today I got caught behind an extra wide load for 20 odd minutes at 50mph on the A1M but.......every cloud has a silver lining!!

Was third car in the ever increasing queue. First 10 minutes was just frustration in not being able to make progress. Then as it got to 15 minutes and longer the realisation sunk in that when the wide load eventually exits on a slip road there is mile after mile of empty motorway/A road in front of me.

So when it finally left ( around Blyth services I think) it was wave goodbye to white van man, A class merc man and believe it or not A3 Daytona TFSI man......OMG the next 10 minutes or so was FUN :)

Had a bed delivered today, lots of cardboard boxes, obviously it wasn't going to fit in the Audi, so I got another car, a VW Tiguan, two of the boxes were too long, so yeah I slid the passenger seat forward, then I thought, does this seat fold forwards? And yes, it does! The cars been in the family over a year now and this has never been used I'm sure.

She's gets it paid, so she thinks it's OK. she doesn't seem to understand how it depreciates the value of the vehicle.

she will keep it after the finance finishes, so it kind of doesn't matter to her.

it gives me time to look for a new car.
I have 3 on my mind at the moment.

Tried a new QD on my car today after a maintenance wash, called Autoperfekt N1 Finisher. I'm quite simply amazed by the results.

My car has two coats of Definitive Wax 0102 wax on it, but I like a QD to make the paint really pop after a wash.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Just finished installing these. Midnight here right now. went for a drive. Cant say I really noticed anything but I like the concept and they were cheap enough.
TIP : when doing the front dogbone mount only jack the car up as much as you need to because the higher you go the more hole and nut move out of alignment. It also helps if you push the motor towards the back of the car when trying to locate the receiving nut. It was the only way I could line everything up to start threading the bolt.

Washed it and added Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax, twice. Since I am dumb I assumed Audi had washed it properly before selling it to me since it is a one year old CPO, but not really. So when I had already applied most of the sealant I saw there were a few spots there, so I had to go home and get the other cleaning materials. Since the wash place was very dark I didn't get everything off, something I noticed when I added the sealant again. I guess i'll have to get some clay for the next time.

After that I was too tired to take a picture though. It looks amazing there are just a few small spots left to get.
