Looks black from different angles but it is deffo a lovely dark blue...
Is Sepang Blue the King of Audi Blue paints....

Like an idiot I accidentally deleted my old Google account, all my pictures of my old cars are now lost in electronic space.

For me, Kingfisher blue always reminds me of the blue on mk 2 Ford Ka's

Just to mix it up, I have just got a Sepang S3, just had it over 3 weeks, so obviously I'm in love.
Then last week somebody parked one of these next to me! Cruel.
The two cars were the same colour!
My best, though, was Monte Carlo blue on my Brera
But it wouldn't suit the S3 - maybe the TT?

That's ford performance blue mate Stunning colour,but it's just a metallic paint, stunning colour on the brera tho,one if the last models produced with it being in that colour

Daughters Fiesta (one of the first that landed in the country).
Not bad for a Ford colour.
At night under street lights it darkens up and the metallic/pearl pops well.
The lighter blue suits the smaller car.

Sepang is superb! The colour variations with sunlight is very very nice.
I've seen sepang S3s looking like **** but it was more due to the lack of care by the owner than a problem with the color. Would have been a strong candidate for my FL S3. Wise choice by Audi to keep existing owners happy and preserve residuals somewhat. I don't think Cosmos and Navarra blues come close to Sepang... Audi could have done better in the blue department.

Ah gotcha LoL thanks ... so I did too.
Sepang is my favourite of the 4 listed above...I very slightly prefer Lapiz on my Golf R, for the purple hues. On a good day I prefer Lapiz, on a crappy day the Sepang gets it, but not much in it either way. Lapiz is as dark a blue as i'd like to see, because on a cloudy/dark day it looks quite dark.

Totally agree Gazwould , but it's on a golf ie it's a one dimensional looking car ie choose the matchbox standard alloys or go for the very nice Pretoria 19"s.....as the advert said..."Just like a Golf"Sure is a nice colour .
Not sure if i'd agree with that, I really don't like the look of an R in Tornado Red or White (but I think the GTI and GTD looks great in Tornado Red - I used to have a Tornado Red GTD) - I think it's the less blingy looking front end on the R due to a lack of front fogs in lieu of the front intakes, so needs a showy colour (there aren't many colours in the Golf's palette i'd have an R in if not the Lapiz - probably Black Pearl, maybe the Reflex Silver).
I do prefer the 5 door R to the Sportback in external looks (not by much), but my next car will probably be an S3 Sportback.
I'm not a fan of the standard R wheels (Cadiz 18") either, although they look better on a white/black/red R than any of the other colours. I felt I had to go with the 19" Pretorias, not because I wanted 19" wheels, just didn't like the style of the Cadiz. Not the greatest pic (taken on my phone rather than a decent camera).
If I had to choose between one of these - I couldn't - they all look the nuts
Ara Blue has to be my favourite, it's like sepang on steroids. First seen on the R8 LMX, and now a standard colour on the new R8.
If I could have any shade of blue on any car though, it would probably be Monterey Blue as seen on this Koenigsegg Agera HH, and Pagani Zonda HH
Or maybe even some blue tinted carbon?

Just ordered a 17 S3 in Ara blue and High Gloss Package. Think it sets it off.
Good for those who can wait 12 months... Makes no sense to me why Audi do that...
Yeah mate,but why have Ara blue crystal and the BSP available to Europe and not the UK,as you know it's strange to have two very dark blue paints available for the A3/S3 and not much difference between both,as for the BSP that's a definite to come soon
Ara blue in the Australian sunshine is going be spectacular mate!
Ara blue is also coming to the Q2 in the UK. I've have a dealer info pack with colours available at launch, I would attach it but have no idea how!
