My strut brace arrived today. Going to try and fit tomorrow any tips? Or is it straight forward?

It's very straight forwards TBH
Shouldn't create any issues for you

I forgot to add what car it is actually for.

97-06 Jaguar XJR XKR chargecooler radiator

This build is coming together nicely! Loving the idea of the Jag chargecooler, definitely in for updates on that :)

Made some brackets for the new Chargecooler today, but wont be fitting for a few weeks (off on me holidays)

Also popped some carbon bits on the interior.the cup holder surround was wrinkly (think the previous owner must of spilt something on it)
So i ordered some ebay specials to cover the cup holder surround, airbag centre & the headlight switch

Driving a Ford Edge was a Joy (not) such a numb feeling car/SUV to drive.

What a joy it was to drive the S4 again once I got back to the Airport :)

Hoping to get the extra chargecooler rad on in the next few days (jet lag dependant lol )

Finally got the second chargecooler fitted today. Took a bit of time routing the hoses etc,but nothing too outrageous.

It went pretty much to pan in the end :)

I've not had time to log any IATs yet,but it it keep them under control better/longer than the OE cooler alone

The grand total for the rad/hoses/boltsfor mounting/hose clamps was £184 :)

lol all the bits came from ebay :)

drilled some aluminium U channel for the bracket n bobs ya uncle lol

Did a few logs today
revo stage 1+ (equiv to stage 2 from other tuners) 99RON fuel (93AKI)
4x back to back 3rd gear pulls outside temp 20c

log below
https://www.dropbox.com/s/jjkyiscbz3cjr4o/LOG-01-021-121-181-691-1301-1881-4191.CSV?dl=0

results showing start & finish temp of pull in degrees C

1: 31.5 - 43.5
2: 37.5 - 48
3: 40.5 - 51.75
4: 41.25 - 52.5

Also it should be noted I was seeing 0 ignition retardation

Below is a link to results using a richer ethanol mix with outside temps at only 5c
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hahua3yr47oj2ma/3.5L Ethanol 1.02 Bar 5 degrees C.CSV?dl=0

as can be seen I was reaching 45c when the temps were outside 15degrees less than today, also that wasn't 4 back to back pulls.

So the budget cooling system upgrade is a winner IMO all for £185 :)

Added some mesh to lower grill/bumper today so as not to get stone damage to the OE cooler.
The grill is already meshed behind so the new cooler is well protected

Also took a pic of the way I routed the new coolers hoses

Do you have a how to guide any where for the Jaguar cooler as it seems to be a lot cheaper and more effective than the other branded ones?

I don't mate,I just made some brackets from aluminium U channel, bought 3meters of 19mm radiator hose and went in lol

It seems like the ultimate cheap upgrade. I shall have to get some man pills and dive in

It's quite easy once you start.

I changed the Arch brows/flares/guards or whatever ya want to call them lol.

The ones I had were a bit short (see sig) so I got some longer ones on today :)

Not everyone's cup of tea ;)

Where are they from ?

I got them off ebay. They are universal,so a bit of jiggery pokery was required to get them to fit OK.
They are black glossy rubber so shape easily, attached with 3M tape

£36 from China as I needed bought 3x packs of 2

I know your splitter was sorted in the bodyshop, but do you know if it was a straightfoward fit? i'm looking into getting one for mine at some point but can't make my mind up on what one to get, i want one i can just stick on and requires as little modification as possible.

excellent work on the charge cooler btw

It's very easy to fit.I had to fit a new front bumper recently due to damaging my original one.

Line it up,& 6 drilled holes

Awesome charge cooler build, I wish I could do the same.. but I have the ADS so its more complicated..

Cheers @Laurent I'm pretty sure it would work on an ADS equipped car too,the new cooler is before the OE cooler circuit :s4addict:

Ahh I see the difference, the ADS has an oil cooler in the way :( so an extra cooler wont just drop in

It would be easy enough to move the oil cooler onto the front of a new chargecooler rad though

Well if you check the pdf where they explain every scenario, mine is number 3, it seems they relocate it below and in front as you said :
http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/userfiles/Forge_motorsport_-_Audi_S4_Chargecooler_kits.pdf

I'll get it in the fall.. I've let go of the idea of cooling the engine oil by the way (we spoke on another forum remember?) it seems every B8 is like that and after watching a great video on YouTube of a guy tracking his S4 B8 (I can fetch you the link if you want) it seems it is not necessary and a charger cooler is more important.
