Hopefully bought a new Rs3!

Stoke Audi have a lot of new ones that they seem keen to shift.

I came close to a deal on a 2016 catalunya red one. After a fair bit of haggling, they came down £3700 from the initial cost to change figure! I just dont want to spend so much on a car so I declined the deal.

I think they are desperate to off load them as they have a hell of a lot of money sat depreciating each day.....especially now that the facelift A3/S3 is on the streets.....to Joe public in the showroom, it makes the RS3 look outdated.

Its also a bit concerning that for such a low volume car, there are a fair few available second hand.

Ive seen a medium spec 2015 car In immaculate condition going for £37500 and the independent garage was very open to haggle on my trade in. Ouch, Id imagine the dealer gave no more than £34000 to buy it in - serious depreciation for the first owner!
Makes the RS3 look outdated my ****!!! Lol

9.5%, superb. But hang on, weren't some people 'p1ssing themselves' at the the thought of such deals being done?

Enjoy the car, it sounds awesome!

I've just finished scripting my damning email to the dealer principle of yesterday's first visit, with a CC to Audi customer services.

It's obvious to me they had decided they wouldn't do the deal after all but to not even let me know and allow me to drive a 50mile round trip is out of order.

If you guys could actually read, you would perhaps note what I said.

To Joe public it looks outdated.

They see a new S3 with different lights/bumpers and then an RS3 with the old shape lights/bumpers.

It aint difficult.

Weren't some people adamant the facelift RS3 was coming out same time as the rest of the A3 range :innocent:

I'll believe the chap if he posts up the screen price vs what he paid (all personal details scrubbed of course).

TX.

Terminator, I'm telling you for certain that dealers are offering 8%+ discount on standing unregistered stock. I've had two separate dealers offer me cars at that level of discount.

I was close but I want a Nardo grey, of which there is one with zero spec, or alternatively one which was fully loaded and too expensive. And to be honest I'm enjoying the Golf R which I can have up until March if needed, by which time I'm hoping there will be some news on a FL RS3, or alternatively will look into the TT-RS.

Put an RS3 and an S3 next to each other in a dealership and they look like two different cars anyway.

Not outdated - Joe public just sees a different car.

That's because they aren't the right spec. I didn't think twice when purchasing the spec I wanted, but it is a lot of money to spend on something that's not perfect - doesn't have the right alloys, colour, dynamic pack etc.

Ring Stockport Audi, they have a Nardo grey one in stock, and he offered me 9% over the phone. I'm sure he'll say the same to you.

No it's not, but they have it,I spoke to them Saturday. This is what I paid, the extras are plus vat.

Even the heavily specced ones with dynamic pack are being offered with the big discount. I think it's because they don't want stock just hanging around, and regardless of it being an RS3, is now an out of date car, albeit a very nice out of date car.

Just had confirmation from my dealer that everything has gone through fine.
Collection day booked for Friday! Can't wait now.

Any other owners in the Cheshire area?

It's not out of date, it's the current model:tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

The A3, which the RS3 is based on, has been facelifted?! There's also a new RS3 (saloon confirmed so far, hatchback not yet) that Audi will be making. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Edit, I nearly forgot the condescending laughing emojis!

Oh yeah, I forgot about the RS3 saloon to be released in the US in 2017/2018.
And you're right - obviously the RS3 sportback F/L is coming out in the UK in the next few years!
And of course the A3/S3 is the same model as the RS3 - for a minute I thought it was the same range?
So yes, I can see why the current RS3 is out of date, silly me...

ComputerControlled, we could go round in circles forever! The point is, they've finished making the current RS3 and have facelifted the rest of the range. We also know at some point there will be the RS3 saloon with refreshed interior, whether it will be sold in the UK or not is a moot point.

What I will say, and I've said it many times before, is that the RS3 is still a great car. Who knows, I might still get one...

He he. I'm only winding you up DOC.

It's very strange to demand evidence, its almost as if they didn't want someone to get a discount. I take it the retraction of doubt will be graceful and the soon to be owner will be congratulated on achieving the unachievable.

Come on Craig, chill out... nobody's demanding anything.

Yeah, chill out everybody! I've just been to sign the paperwork and confirm collection 9am Friday. I'm like a kid at Christmas!

Guys, as said chill. I think we can all agree that the current RS3 is an awesome car and is being discounted at the moment with dealers trying to push unregistered cars to buyers. No point in arguing in a thread where the OP is happy as Larry at his new purchase. Please don't ruin what should be a memorable new car. :friends:

God, the moment you start her up. I remember it like yesterday. Like the rest of the owners on here I've never owned a car where I'll think of any excuse to just go drive her. My missus thinks it's great that I'm always popping to the shops for her

I know what you're saying,I was the same when I collected my new Evo X a few years ago,I think the wife thought I was having an affair I was popping out that often.
My wife is coming with me to collect, but the plan is to then drop her off home and have a nice drive out to Oulton park for some pics and watch a bit of Motorsport.
Do Friday's get any better!!

Are there any other Cheshire owners about??
