Does anyone know if this will fit my 2010 DSG?

Auto / DSG gear lever Audi A3 S3 A6 S6 Q7 RS6 8P2713141BSKH New genuine Audi.

Love the facelift version but can't justify £250 when this is £80!

Thanks

Not too sure. When I replaced my gear stick to a facelift, It came with the leather gait as well.

Where are you seeing it for £250? I bought mine a year or so back off eBay for about £130.

Cheers,

That's dealer price as if I'm swopping I want it new.

Was yours a new one, eBay ones look a bit too 2nd hand?

Yea brand new shipped from Germany. I've had a look at my history to see which seller it was, but they don't seem to have any items listed for sale, so guessing they don't trade anymore?

Oh heads up, DON'T let the button slip in while you are doing the change. Its a complete PITA to get it out and I damaged my new one when I took it off to return car back to stock and sell it on.....

Make sure you keep the clip on the new one, and use a chunky cable tie when you remove the old one.

Thanks Dr E.

I've asked Mike on a parts request but he needs the reg number of a car that has one as standard, can anyone oblige on a pm please?

Google FL A5. The pic in that thread has the part number though..that no good?

Sadly not, I gave the part number but apparently needs the reg as well:wtf:

I'll probably auto trader it

Great news,

Mike on parts request can do for £132 inc vat, getting me one tomorrow!:racer::yahoo:

I'll do the standard before and after shots when I get around to fitting it (hopefully quicker than it took me to fit the grill)!:superman:

Great price! Its a very quick job. I used a YouTube video to help me, but can't find it I'm afraid...

IIRC the general steps are:

1) Remove gaiter by lifting up two tabs either side with a trim tool
2) Lift gaiter up to reveal clip holding the gaiter in place and loosen
3) pull out gearstick button as far as it will go and at this stage use a thick cable tie to hold the button out
4) Tug the gearstick off (again be careful to make sure button doesn't slip and get trapped inside the gear stick)
5) Pop on the new one and give it a firm slap to ensure its all the way down on the stick
6) Remove clip to release button and hope its on properly and doesn't get lost inside the gear stick!
7) Re-attach clip (although not really necessary)
8) Pop gaiter back in place with the 4 tabs

Found it :)

Well I've done it!

Took around 5 mins and 3 of them were undoing the gaitor clamp.

Here's the result

Very happy!

Where did you order that? It looks great! I could only find ones with the white stitching which wouldn't match the seats...

Oddly though my steering wheel has white stitching?
