I was unable to find a set of Wingbacks that could be shipped, so with that, I bought a set of OEM Sport Seats for my 2011 A3. Seats are from a 2012.

Car is throwing an Airbag light after being switched over.

I dont have a VCDS/Vagcom and cant read any codes with a standard code reader.

I have double checked and all the connections look good. Is there a change I need to make with a VCDS with just switching from standard seats to sports?

I cant seem to find anything else wrong.

Thanks

Airbag light will only clear once the fault log is cleared, you can't unplug then plug in as it still puts a light up.

You need someone with VAGCOM to clear the fault code.

If you post where you are, someone close with VAGCOM may offer to assist.

Thank you guys for the info.

Having it reset tomorrow.

Tried to clear fault code, but Airbag Light kept coming back on.

A "Basic Set up" has to be run through VCDS to set up the Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module

VCDS gives - VAG Error Code: 02511

Trying to run the basic set up for the Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706)

VCDS needs a security access key to start this adaption.

Their WIKI says to use 30475, but that is not working. I have also tried 20324, which is what shows up in the pop up box in the software.

Has anyone had any issues/experience when switching over seats to the sports?

Took it to a shop to clear the Airbag light and they said they tried and it wouldnt clear. I ended up buying my own version of VCDS and was able to clear the code in the Airbag sub-menu.
