You won't see me with a bike on the roof or hanging down the back of the car so inside it has to go :)

I think this options business has been discussed many many times...
Nobody can tell you what options are valuable to you!
You could always start a thread about s tronic vs manual for a laugh!!! or leather vs alcantara. pano vs no pano roof, roof rails vs no roof rails, bsp vs no bsp, mono pur vs no mono pur, etc... ;-)
And sorry this thread was hijacked :)

And you've more than yer fair share of options mate...lol....Ps Pano Roof= no brainer..lol

Back on topic as they say...its been discussed millions of times on here this must have's or similar thing, options are a extremely personal choice ie they maybe chosen for looks functionality really there's umpteen reasons, but in general and with a high percentage it's all down to what your willing to pay/can afford,we would all love a fully loaded Audi, options can also take you longer to break even on a pcp deal as the GMFV is based on a standard spec car, highly specced cars sell better on a private sale Audi will value a highly specced car very similar to a standard specced car,cut to chase all these must have's will loose you **** load of money....and av got a lot them including Audi's **** leather seats

its probably discussed many many times cos folk are confused with all the options are around.

I wasn't asking what was valuable to me per se, i did list a few things i knew i wanted .. I was simply asking 'whats your thoughts and opinions on what else i may have missed or may need to think about' from current owners perspective as they would have a better idea,

I thought that's what forums are kind of, for no?

A friendly dealer on the 1 Series forum did an exercise in listing all the options and their impact on the GFV at the 3-year point. Now clearly you don't spec an option without accepting it comes with a cost, but some options hold their value quite well like auto, cruise, basic nav and parking sensors (I appreciate some of these are standard on Audi). Things like speaker upgrades, high end nav, bigger wheels, and metallic paint show very little if any residual value.

Yea I saw this when I was originally looking at a 2 series.

However unlike the BMWs, Audi do not add any value to the GMV with options. Bit unfair, but as you say it still does highlight that certain options will probably give you a slightly higher trade in price at renwal. For instance, I know if I didn't spec the tech pack to get sat nav on my S5, the dealer would be very reluctant to give me a decent trade in, as he would have trouble shifting it.

I get where you are coming from mate..I don't think SpeedyFrog was having a 'dig' at you. We are generally a friendly bunch on here(most of the time)..lol
Back on topic...
My car was a cancelled order so I was unable to spec anything from the factory. So part of the deal on purchasing the car I asked the dealer for front and rear sensors to be fitted as I found the car difficult to park (paranoid about scuffing the alloys etc)..So a must have I would suggest is front and rear sensors. Also due to the car not having tinted windows I found the glare from cars was distracting. So another thing to consider is auto dim rear view mirror.I am not sure which package has this from factory. Lot's of things to think about like you said...Good luck on what you spec mate..:friends:

They show very little value when the dealer buys your car as a part ex then watch the miracle happen and these little value options increase in price when YOUR car goes back on sale :D
