My Navarre Blue S3 ordered 26th June , Build Week 34 (22nd Aug) - dropped back by a week last weekend :-(

I wish I tried to drop them sooner. Asked to drop them 3 weeks ago and it took my dealer 2 weeks to give me an estimated build week of week 36/37 without them. It has now been 4 days and I am still waiting for confirmation that they have a actually been dropped and my order is proceeding . At this It will most likely be a mistake dropping them at all :shrug:

Your dealer is not on the ball mate... You're paying a lot of money so the least he can do is being responsive! Changes to your order should be done and confirmed in less than 24h. If not you should get a proper reason why not. We're not 2-3 months ago when they barely knew anything about the FL... Customers are taking deliveries of their FL A3 now for crying out loud! But to be fair if you really want the matrix light then keep them and bite the bullet :)

Agree completely here and putting in complaints. regards the Matrix Lights... I do want them but the issue is it's currently an indefinite wait. I could have the car in Oct 2016 just as equally as in Oct 2017. If they simply said your wait would be Dec I would bite the bullet. Unfortunately the closest I have got to answer is Q4 with a Build week being announced in weeks 36/37. I honestly don't think I will buy Audi again after the is experience, assuming they do nothing to ease my frustration.

I'd be asking for some good will definitely ...some free accessories or maybe a free service or too might be a better compromise... At the end of the day it is Audi UK's poor customer service that is at fault. I asked for a brochure for the new A3 and ended up with one for the pre Fl. Come on Audi get your house in order

does anyone know aprox how long it takes from leaving the factory to the dealer? Im really hoping its no more than a week :/

It's between 3-4 mate... My last car was built 23rd June I collected 7th July. This was also shipped from Emden.

audi upgrades
I was told by inchcape that Audi weren't accepting orders/allocating build weeks for the S3 until early July?

I ordered my first car at the start of Feb16 then learnt of the FL that month so cancelled that order and re-ordered when I was able too at the start of June.....looking at the back end of Sept with same build week as you.

Just tracked mine now and have got an R8 icon and lots of random numbers so not sure how much I should trust myaudi.

Erm okay? My car had a build week of 30 so it would start being built this Monday coming (checked your Audi yesterday) and today I've logged in and it's gone from order received step 2 to In QC step 7?! Don't get me wrong I'm happy, but I can't take delivery until mid/end September so it's going to make the wait even more brutal!! :(

It may be a painful wait, but at least it will be ready and waiting when you want it, so it's all good! My dealer has confirmed that they expect to have my car with them tomorrow and they can have it ready for me to collect on Friday. I fly back from holidays on Thursday night so that will definitely soften the blow of being back in Belfast!!
 
S3


So my S3 is getting built on Monday (It now seems real) after initially placing my order in early march, and after much wrangling Audi have also agreed to give me a TT S-line roadster Quattro (not sure how i am going to get the kids in that....) until they deliver the S3 on either WC 21st - 28th of August, which all things considered seems to be very nice of them. I take back 75% of what I said about Tyneside Audi...

Errr... mines just changed to that in the time its taken to get my lunch and post the origonal. I suspect foul play or at the very least a mistake. I am not going to get too exited just yet.
 
I wouldn't be too surprised if its true. Appears all A3 builds over the last few weeks have been a week early.

Definitely more than a week bud. 3-4 weeks to being ready

I Spoke to the BDM at Audi and he's said it accurate, but the car will be in "transit" for up to 3 weeks, and then it'll need pre delivery inspection, so mid to late August seems fair.

Not really that bothered though as i am kind of looking forward to driving a TT rag top around, although that means it's going to bucket down every day i have it... first world problems.
 
Our A3 arrived at Stoke Audi yesterday! So all in all 22 days from build to delivery which isn't bad at all.

Annoyingly tho the misses has asked to wait until September for registration and delivery... so another 5 week wait added on.

Mine is arriving at Belfast Audi today, so just 16 days for me. Will be 22 days by the time I get home to pick it up tho.

I emailed my dealer today to ask about the delay with matrix lights and hes said he will ask admin on monday and see if they have any dates yet so if i hear anything i will let those of u who have picked them know, Im considering taking them off my order but will see what dealer says first

I'm in the process of dropping the Matrix Lights right now!

Audi UK have told me that doing so would make a considerable difference (nothing more specific annoyingly) and my dealer said the last he heard we wouldn't even get an idea of a build week until Week 36/37. Best guess from what I have been told is that there won't be any deliveries until weeks 45 to 50 which is just too long of a wait. :(

Yeah i was told roughly November. I may just take them off and replace with another option with the same value. I got a discount on the car so dunno how the price would work out if i jist removed. There was another few options i fancied anyway
 
Bit the bullet and emailed dealer to remove matrix lights and replaced them with a few different things. Hopefully it will hurry the order up a bit
 
Seeing all these pictures and comments about deliveries of FL Models is making me rather jealous. I wish mine would hurry up!

Notice on the ship trackers there are a couple of ships inbound to Grimsby and Sheerness from Emden. Hopefully the next wave of FL models to be hitting UK shores. *fingers crossed*

Why cant he change it? Mine got changed no problem. Im not getting excited just yet, still a few weeks yet till production begins. Ill get excited when the tracker moves again lol
 
My build week is finally upon us . I too shall be joining the 'transit' chase ha. Looking at shipping schedules and all that sad stuff :p lol

Yeah I spoke to customer services and they say it's "normal". However when I point out that other cars have made it to the uk they just dismiss that and tell me not to worry. I am lead to believe it's now on priory shipping but I'm not sure if that will actually make a difference. They told me there is a ship bound for sheerness tomorrow. Fingers crossed its on that. Dealer still thinks he will have it by the end of the month.

Just heard from my dealer about my order i have a build week of 36 with the matrix lights on it! So those of u who want them but were gonna change...... dont! Lol

It's a lot better than I was expecting. Pictures don't do it justice. Really pleased how it's turned out. The privacy glass sets it off a tee.
