Good Afternoon,
I've ordered a fistune DAB+ for my A4 and a windscreen aerial. But i'd like to try and keep the antennas standard.
I popped off my drivers side D post last night expecting to find a FM/AM amplifier soldered to my window (which has 3 wires running around the glass on it) and found nothing at all.
So I'm assuming I'll have another one on the other side, which has 2 wires.

I am happy to buy the amplifier and solder onto the points. But what do I need to buy? Is it just a fakra cable from the fitune, into the amplifier and 3 wires to the glass? Or does the amplifier need power as well from somewhere?

I am a little lost tbh, I was expecting from what I've read online to just find one that needs changing out.

I have a MMI 3G in the car btw.

I would have thought that you would be adding an antenna. Only in the saloon do you replace one.

Why didn't you buy the antenna kit for your car from Kufatec?

Because it was a crazy 90+ quid!

I'm using a Pure window antenna and it works pretty well.

But you get the right length of Fakra cable with the right plugs, the booster and 3 wires and plug. If you want to keep it as standard as possible it's the best way to go. I guess as I buy them trade they are cheaper, but you know you should have the right bits.

Can you supply the cheaper?
Does the kit need anything extra? is it as simple as wiring from the unit to the antenna unit, solder to glass and voila?
