Afternoon people,

My insurance is due next month and I'm in the market for a new provider.

Can anyone advise on the best companies to go with with regards to mods on my car? Also any tips on getting the premium down would be great, having no NCD this year is going to sting me!

Thanks in advance,
Dan.

Adrian flux is great for modified cars and cheap, they beat my quote on compare the market with mods! it's who I'm with but have heard mixed reviews when it comes to claiming!

Well I'll do my best to avoid the claiming problem as much as I can anyway but I have heard good things about these. Thanks bud!

Also try Greenlight(that I'm with now) and Chris Knott(that I've used previously).

Both provide good rates, and levels of cover, for modified cars.

I am with Adrian Flux on stage 2+. I will probably change next time and Compare gave me a better rate with a known provider when I did a search recently

Ringing round is the best bet mate, especially ones which are mod friendly, I was with Churchill on my previous car and had to have a garage sign off and stamp a form for the mods! Ball ache! Adrian flux allow me to add and modification onto my car for £25 a time, unlike some witch will just say a stupid figure to change alloys! Sure other companies would do this too but it's a nice thing to have

True....

I've gone through independent brokers for most of the time I've had modified cars, and always found them to be the best.
Funny thing is finding that you're often insured via the broker,at a very good rate, with a company that won't touch you or your car face to face.

My insurance is due in September and I will be probably be researching the same thing, Adrian flux just use smaller insurance brokers don't they? So your never actually with the same insurance every time?

Me?......it can vary, but more often the best quote from one company tends to be the best the next time around also....maybe they want to continue to keep certain clients or whatever, but it seems to be the case more often then not.

Anyone know anyone in the Republic of Ireland? Getting hard to find any over here.

Not sure for RoI insurance, but Sky Insurance came through for both cars at lowest prices. Greenlight wouldn't even touch my post code - they were my first choice :(

Hi,

Have you tried us for modified insurance yet? If not, please feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to arrange a quotation for you.

Kind Regards
Dan

+1 for Chris Knott

They beat any non modded renewal price on mine but mods included and more extras

Suggest you ask one of the above mentioned brokers for a theoretical quote on your car with mods you are proposing. With no NCB you could be breaking the bank balance eventually.
