As far as I could tell, ACC on the A6 was only part of the Tech Advanced Pack (with other bits I didn't want) which is £3500, so way more than that. I didn't include it.
It's £475 l think mate...l was only trying to have a bit of a laugh

I LOVE those alloys. I know there are replicas of these available for the A3.

However I note these will be available on the S3 but require Mag Ride.

The VW setup is better. It has the ACC controls on steering wheel buttons.
I prefer the Audi setup on my wife's A3. She really likes ACC and will be getting it again.

I like ACC too, but standard cruise is fine on my car as I don't to as many A roads and dual carriageways. Also, I prefer to overtake :)

Just wondering is the swing down tow bar a new feature on the FL A3?

Also, does anyone know why is the diesel A3 is not getting the 7 speed S tronic? They are using it on the A4 diesels.

Haha, lucky for me I'm not an audiophile. Otherwise it would just be pushing my cost higher!

Decent sound in a car is ok up to a point imo.

But only up to a point.

Imagine spending a fortune on top end hi-fi at home.....but with constant rumble of tyre and wind noise in the background and a sport exhaust behind the sofa.....all constantly changing.

Tbh I am happy with ok sound in the car and spend money on hi-fi at home.

I can only assume as they have a suitable 'transverse' 6-speed with all the correct ratio's for the amount of torque available in each gear Audi decided not to bother with the new 7-speed. The A4's engine is longitudinal and I think they only make a 7-speed for this version. I could be wrong but that seems to be a feasible reason to me. As the 2.0 TDI - 184 has not been released yet I wonder if Audi are adding AdBlue as they have done on almost all the other larger capacity diesel to eliminate the NOx emissions and maintain the lower CO2..

Any sound system is only as good as your hearing and of course the environment in which your listening in...but l dare say the Bang & Ole in the A6/RS6/RS7/S8 at £6,500 bangers is more in tune with the cars acoustics than the relatively cheap £750/495 BEGINNERS KIT IN THE A3/S3/RS3.

And l have spent over a 5 figure some on home cinema for me man den....and l love the sound of exhausts behind the sofa....etc...etc...lol

According to the fl saloon brochure the 1.6 is a 7 speed along with the petrol engines. The 184ps diesel is a 6 speed only in quattro, however other models could be different...

Yer having a Giraffe...lovin them alloys, jeezus at £3500 on a medium sized hatch/sportback...just for 19" wheels in Lieu of the nice standard 18's...a registration plate its going to ruin that nice big grill, big time...Ps to me these are A4 alloys and Audi have just been too ****** lazy about not introducing a new 19" style for the facelift A3/S3

I have the 7 speed in my PFL 1.6 TDI. It would be sensible just to continue that on. It's a great box for that engine.

The 7-speed used on the 1.6TDI is the dry-clutch version and is fine with the torque of 250 Nm. It is however not suitable for the 340/380 Nm torque figure for the 2.0TDI 150/184 and these models use the 6-speed wet-clutch version.

Didn't say it was buddy. Said it was a great box for the 1.6TDI and they should car it on.

Yes the dry clutch gearbox, apologies for not pointing that out...

Probably much cheaper, I suspect it's just Audi UK who are stuffing us on those alloys. Can't imagine anyone speccing them @ 2500 plus magride.

Sorry if I was not clear.

My wife has the 7 speed dry S tronic. I have the 6 Speed wet DSG.

I was asking about the new 7 speed S tronic wet.

It will be interesting to see if it appears in the facelift GTD in a few months.

What facelift is the gtd getting?
The Golf facelift is expected after the summer. Google it.

To answer my other question - apparently the swing down tow bar has been available on the Golf this year. Even though it is not on the configurator.

The MY2017 was released about a month ago so there won't be any changes to the golf until at the earliest next summer.

There is nothing official yet but various rumours on VW forums are stating that VW are going to skip facelifting the Mk7 and the next new Golf will be the Mk8 in 2018.

That's an Sline so those alloys are not available on it anyway ??

Yeah its German, they seem to be able to pick and choose whatever they like over there. I did notice that Audi UK added a new alloy choice to the S Line option, updated versions of the old rotor wheels. Not a big fan of them, call me old fashioned, but i preferred the old style.

Very annoyed... Seems that the BSP can be added on the German configurator . God knows why its not made its way to the UK configurator :rage::rage: Going to try and get our fleet manager to add it to my new car, but got a feeling it will be to late now. Gutted.

Why do you have to spec the advanced tech pack to get the virtual cockpit?

Not interested in any of the other bits with it.

Cockpit for £450 yes please. Cockpit for £1395 ahahaha no thanks.

Silver rear diffuser looks naff.

£2500 for 19" V-Spoke ouch!

With the Tech Pack Advanced £1395 you get the virtual cockpit so you save £50 because Tech Pack is £995. Now if you don't want the Tech Pack then yes the VC alone is £450.
Silver/grey rear diffuser with daytona grey looks just fine.
£2500 for these 19" wheels - yes it's extortionate

Because the hardware and tech needed to run the 12" LCD only comes with the technology pack?

Mmmm It's weird... Why would the VC be listed as a £450 option if the configurator forces you to spec the Tech Pack Advanced for £1395 which makes it a £400 option! (£995 Tech Pack + £400 VC = £1395 Tech Pack Advanced)
I swear it could be selected on its own for £450 a while back!! (or I played too many times with the configurator and got confused)

On German configurator for a S3 Sportback both 19" wheels are €1,200 (not £1,100 and £2,500...) and they have the BSP available for €500.
WTH???

19 wheels2
