Bose , half Bose or no Bose at all

Hi experts
How can I tell what system I have in my 2005 2.5 tdi cabriolet without pulling thing appart.?

Vag-com (vcds) coding might tell you. Can't remember if it has a Bose getting though.
 
The BOSE system has BOSE AUDI badges that are recessed into the speaker grills and sit flush....not raised above the grill.

No badges is usually the standard system........but this is by no means a bad thing, as since I upgraded to RNSE the system has come alive in audio quality.
 
you can also pull the o/s carpet back in the trunk and check the amp. if you have a flat type . its a normal system. if its an ali looking unit then its a bose.
 
Thanks guys I'll investigate further. Ever since I have had the car it has only have sound from the dash board area with a Kenwood head unit and it's driving me mad as you have to have it turned up nearly full when the roof is down

your need to pull the head unit out and check if you have the correct harness fitted to suit all the speakers in your car i ordered wrong one with mine 1st only had front speakers and no amp or rear speakers working got correct harness and hey presto full sound :)

On the basis I appear to have a non Bose system what adaptor cable will I need?
Is yours non Bose?
