Could be anything, but yes, its been chipped already.

Its probably been a big tuning company thats done it, that little board is a encryption board, which attempts to stop people copying the rom. I doubt ebay guys would be bothering with that.

Probably should have checked the boost pressure it was running before spending out on another stage1 tune!!
 
Yeah I canceled that ecu before It arrived luckily, the car just feels really slow compared to my old Mk4 Golf, but hey learning curve

Does the part number on the ABS unit and module part have to match?
I've got the 80e614112Ab matched up
And on the module part instead of it being 0273004284 it's xxxxxxx281

Nothing really to update guys
Did my track rod ends due to NS having a bit of play and what a pita to separate them and also found out the knocking tapping sounds was the Aux tensioner

Still not really come to a conclusion on what turbo route I'm taking, majority of other stuff is sorted anyway, I know I want at least 300whp but so many options

The TTE280 isnt a T25 turbo, it fits the standard K03 manifold.

T25 manfold is fine, The PSI Concepts one is nice, and is what i'd use if i were going that route. GTX2863R. MMMM!

Welly cooler set up for our TQS
300 600 76 wouldn't fit behind standard bumper would it?
I've already sorted my S4 front but just out of curiosity while it's getting sprayed

Nope. Won't fit under standard tqs bumper. Aragorn has the smaller one that fits.

the smaller ones a tight fit behind the S4 bumper as well, i had to grind the plastic on the grilles back to clear the pipework. Maybe if you ditched the aircon you'd get the thicker one in as you'd be able to move it back an inch or so.
 
It won't fit even with aircon out because of height. Mine is a lot lower at the bottom than stock bumper. Can't fit it higher because you won't close the bonnet.

good point! yeh mines the same, its right up against the underside of the bumper where the bonnet meets it, and comes down level with the bottom edge of the front panel.
 
The Treadstone TR18 was designed to fit the standard A4 bumper and is rated up to 480bhp. Probably work out quite expensive with import duty etc, unless anybody knows of a UK supplier.
 
Would my Gt28rs set up be okay running on a chipped ko3 file? Or is it absolutely unsafe?

depends how you define "OK".

The injectors you have wont flow much more than about 220hp worth of fuel. So if you go blasting around with your GT28RS, you'll melt the engine. The boost control will also be all over the place so you'll need to keep the N75 unplugged. the problem is that even with the N75 unplugged, its likely you'll flow more air than the stock tune can fuel for, thus you basically wont be able to go full boost at all.

You cant fit bigger injectors without a remap, though if you also fit a larger MAF housing you'll get something that mostly works, and is a bit safer than doing nothing.

If you want to fit the turbo and carefully drive the car to a tuner, then it'll be fine, just keep the N75 disconnected and keep it off boost.
 
Managed to get an edition 30 ko4-064 off a mate for dirt cheap, only done 61k and couldn't pass it up

Googled for the life of my doing a tfsi turbo on 20vt

And different assortment of b7 parts and I'm pretty sure this is the route I'm going to take now
