What's the best ph neutral/acid free wheel cleaner?

Iron X works well but it's abit expensive to be using all the time.

I've heard Bilberry wheel cleaner is good?

@ScottishA4B9 I've not needed to use wheel cleaner since I got the DLUX put on my wheels. So maybe get it on ASAP? I'm just jet washing followed by regular shampoo of which I alternate between two: Carpro Reset and Britemax Clean Max.

If you're not doing the above then Bilberry is my favourite. Works extremely well and a bottle lasts an age.

I know you've done the order but I find Wonder Wheels Hot Wheels works as well as Bilberry (I have both). You can sometimes get it cheap. It's acid free. The other Wonder Wheels products are not. Just thought it might help if in future you need something you can buy in the shops.

I like bilt hamber. It does the job really well. I got my b6 s4 cab, put this stuff on the wheels, and callipers. The callipers are actually turning silver again, taking the dirt off on each wash.

But I did get one of those demon shine kits from Morrison's not long ago, so using that at the moment. With a valetpro horse hair brush you can really get it all over the wheels with no problem, and it cleans well.

i agree with scotty76, i have iron x but also picked up some wonder wheels hot wheels and it seems to be more active and can be applied in a finer spray, iron x is gloopy and so sprays in clumps, so needs spreading and agitating before leaving to take effect.

i also use poor boys wheel sealant to avoid the need for heavy cleaning

For everyday wheel cleaning duties try simoniz ultracare alloy wheel cleaner from Costco, £5 for 5 litres. Its pretty good, surprised even me and totally safe on your wheels and at a complete steal at that price. As an example two weeks ago i first tried it when it was half price in Tesco at £2.50 for 500ml, and i thought that was cheap until i walked into Costco yesterday. Its a no thrills wheel cleaner and i use it every wash as i clean the car once a week. Dont confuse this with the other wheel cleaner they do, this is the safe version, the other one is much stronger and acidic.

If you haven't discovered autobrite before i thoroughly recommend them in terms of service and their products. Purple rain is their equal to iron x and is ph neutral. Probably wouldn't use this more than once a month if required and for maintenence washes in between they do very cherry wheel cleaner but my personal favourite is britegel. It's a spray gel product which you leave to penetrate for a few minutes before agitating and rinsing off. Cleans well, shines well and smells good!

I've just bought some valet pro dragons breath for mine mate as I had read quite a few good reviews on it and my wheels are in the need for it lol

Lol , I've not had to use anything harsher than ordinary car shampoo for a decade .

CERAMIC brake pads .
