What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

where about's you stopping Rob, i'm about an hour from the lakes and being a keen fisherman type i know the lakes pretty well, i could point out a few nice places/roads for you to go visit mate, grasmere takes some beating for a nice mooch out, some of the best views, also a lovely pastie shop there lol.

Productive morning of doing some little jobs on the car, number plate plinth swapped for a new one to allow the led lights to be fitted, centre brake light replaced to stop the error on the Dis, fitted me new number plates from the group buy section and released some animal has drilled holes and scratched the plate carrier on the front so I have ordered a new one for it.

Front grill wrapped and lightest headlamp tint, now the rear s4 valance fitted with the exhaust done I think front and back are complete
Had some major issues fitting brembo kit so have gone back to standard for now while I research

eBay headlamp lightest smoke

2 issues with brakes

Discs causing vibration and not happy with the pedal travel
Going to get some stainless entering rings as opposed to plastic provided
Don't like the fact that you lose the grub screw so the discs doesn't stay on properly when bolting up

What issues did you have pal?

I used a wrench extension to mate the disc up to the hub then once bolted in place all was good.

I cut of the head of a m12 (i Think) maybe M14
Screwed into hub through disc then mounted wheel, but vibration ln normal driving and braking
Can't understand level of vibration to be honest

sun was out again yesterday so wash and blow dry in between playing throw the bone & retrieve the bone for the big woofer, I think I had to retrieve it more than he did, seem to prefer laying in the back of the car.

also enhanced the windscreen with a nice round stone chip right in the middle of the screen between the wiper blades when parked from a surface dressing lorry near windermere, so probably a new screen will be needed at some point....bummer.

other than that not much to report, may keep the current calipers to be honest as they have dried nicely and don't look too bad, and the sell the big ones to fund other projects on the car such as a RS4 style bumper etc, still cant find any used S4 rears thought worth buying.

Holy smoke rob your car is pristine, very jealous.

Audi ordered me the wrong number plate filler so no hole/scratch free number plate filler on the car :( still fitted the plates with the stubby plate on the front.

It's a nice size, looks tidy without being keyring sized.

Then back on the car and a wipe over with some Auto finesse Revive to protect the plastic.

I've had 2 go walkabout in 2 years, first disappeared after having the car for a month, strangely after being the dealer for some jobs to be done.
second disappeared about 8 months ago, also after being in the garage, anyway not bothered about replacing for a 3rd time ...probably one of those trends around again, a bit like years ago when golf grill badges were bing pinched all over the place something the beasty boys started...

I used to dislike those wheels in nearly any Audi but they look smart as hell! Really looks nice what size tyres are they? Are you on standard ride height? :sunglasses:
