Glovebox damper

Hi anyone experienced the bracket on the glove box hinge snap off that connects it to the damper? I've not had it apart yet but is it an easy fix or a pain and dent to the wallet. Obviously the glove box light won't work without it attatched.

1st time heard a b8 damper snapping, if its the same design as older chassis, then super glue in place for positioning, then use araldite or suitable 2 pack resin to make the joint solid.

Yea it's rather annoying. My b6 had the same but the whole hinge snapped. The red circle shows where mine has snapped

That could be repaired, even if you support it with some small metal thin long inserts & bond round it, done that for variety of badly snapped plastic items, even PS controllers lol.

Yea I'll give it ago. Just wondered if someone had been there done it got the t shirt and it stayed successfully repaired. Or if a new glovebox is the only achievable option.

Can get replacement part on ebay for most Audi models for around a fiver.
