Gotta have banter to keep the 'waiting process' interesting !

I look at it that we're all waiting in one form or another & we're all on countdown to the 'next car' .... it's just that some have shorter / longer waits than others & some want the 'next car' sooner than others.

I'm lucky I've enjoyed every Audi I've owned over the last 8 years so each wait for the next car has been 'part of the experience' and build up, which is good as 6 months has been the norm each time.

The worst time for me was in 2007/8 when I was desperate to offload a BMW which I just did not gel with at all. That's when I turned to Audi & never looked back. I'd have another RS3 in a hear beat, best car one ever owned. I'd have another S5, the new one looks ace. I'd have another TTS. So many cars in the Audi range it's a great brand IMO.

ASN is now part of that process for me.
A great place to hang out during the build up and during each ownership experience. Loads of great chat & useful information here and just a great place to hang out with mostly like minded people :sunglasses:

Wonder if the RS3 facelift saloon or sportback will get the new rotors seen on the new S5 coupe. I kinda like them.

Yer not kidding either...almost £45k for rather good spec car, they are even charging £2,200 for them B8 S4 alloys...farcical prices, but there giving out between 12-14% discounts on them,no wonder the residuals are horrendous on them,am going to hold a party for me family when l get shot mine

Looks so good. But try as I may, I can't get my head around £50k for one that isn't absolutely brand new and doesn't even have the SS seats.

Sorry but I have to say.....that new TTRS looks quite hideous honestly. There isn't a single angle I look at t from where I like it.

The car above in sepang is £46k.....the images for the Sprint blue car at £49,990 aren't available yet

The interior looks absolutely stunning.
The exterior engine / exhaust sounds pretty good.
The performance is up which is good.
But I'm still not as drawn to the exterior styling as I was the last car.
Not keen on those round fog lights & black plastic surrounds.
The wheel arch gap is too much still.
The tyres need to be lower profile.
The alloys are ok but still rotor based ?
The red calipers look out of place.
What's with the extra lower lights on the rear bumper ... is that uk spec ?
From the front it looks a bit mondeo-esque.

All that said I still really like it, but doubt I'd have another as I'm not desiring it like I did the last one .... RS3 or TTRS all the way.

Are you referring to the new S5 Snake?

Yeah in the video posted above.
I would need to see the new S5 first hand to make a full judgement.
On 20" rims & a better colour it will probably appeal to me a lot more though.

There's a video Autogefuhl on youtube showing the cars launch at Neckarsulm there's a Misano red with grey 20" new style rotors on it looks great with them on it,there's also a stunning Daytona Grey one looks awesome in the colour it really shows up the car at its best l think

Ah right I'll go have a look at that one then.
Maybe it's just that video above then poorly shot and not great alloys & colour - although if it's Daytona I really like that usually !?

20" rims & misano red or white or even black ... or any good exclusive colour and it could look the business then.

The noise sounded pretty good in the vid above though that I must confess. My S5 sounded good but of course the RS3 sound is on another level. It sounds like the new turbo unit in the S5 could have a tastier soundtrack than the last one.

Yes does look better here agreed although IMO 20" rims are needed to fill out those wide arches (as last car) ...

S5 looks too glitzy, doesn't sound or look special enough for me.

The biggest problem with the S5 is it is missing an 'R'..

Aye and how much will they cost on a pcp lol.....RS5....S5..its a comfort blanket S car...SHOULD HAVE 400 BHP stock..lol...Audis performance S cars are all very closely knitted together performance wise....not price though...hence the S3 is the is there biggest seller

Hmm, not convinced by it. Audi's new design look is a bit too sharp IMO. Certainly, I don't think the current TT is as pretty as the mk2 for example.

TTRS....is stunning mate far better looking than a A3/RS3....Its the interior that's too smart for its own good..ie the stand alone virtual cockpit,Audi should have added the centre dash pop up screen as well....and also added the option of a pano-roof,the TTRS will struggle for sales just as much as the TTS...has done

At the moment it's looking like I'll be pulling the deposit on the RS3 which seems to be up in the air, and putting it down for the TTRS. Even so, still not convinced it's a great looking car. It's an illusion, but it looks like it sits too high from the ground.

You won't be disappointed with a TTRS / RS3 or S5 IMO ... all great cars :sunglasses:
