Now like l always do, l trawl through the Audi.co.uk approved used RS3 section all the time, and found this Nogaro Blue medium spec car for sale at £50,000. Granted it was only registered last month,so the mileage is minimum, now for example the demo l really was interested in, the Racing Mica Blue one which was sold whilst l was on holiday and had only 2500k on the clock was priced at £46k, but had a far superior spec to this car..panroof,rear camera, keyless, roof rails...it really does seem.....Audi are really extracting the urine from potential buyer even more so than before,of course its all down to supply and demand but this RS3 AINT WORTH £50,000
Audi rs3 price madness
£46k

To be fair it does look great. But in all honesty, this revised rs3 and all the power and facelift changes could be absolute ********. Nobody knows...fact.

However, it's a great car as it presently. It clearly won't be so short lived, so perhaps something special is coming soon, but there is no point in second guessing. With such a potential improvement, surely becomes a hike in price. Unlike the pre FL, if this FL is a hit with the car mags, I think the FL rs3 will fly of the shelves unlike the current rs3 which seems to have stagnated .

The thread l started was in no way meant to start a facelift debate all over again,it was because the cars above, where very similar in spec and mileage but £4000 apart in price, even for Audi that's pretty ridiculous,as for RS3 used prices, they are reducing in price, lowest priced car l saw was £38,500,in general they holding there price very well,Audi.co.uk used site have about 30 odd left on there site, most are not to my taste for one reason or another ie colour/spec

I actually think that they are gathering a bit of a cult following. The beauty of the pre FL is that they were not mass produced as such and to be fair are not a common sight. Hopefully the same with the FL, but I doubt that as Audi's hand was played into an update, just over a year into the current RS3 lifecycle, whereas the post FL will prob see a longer run of cars due to its longer lifecycle until the next shape change of the A3. Just something to think about.

I dont think the FL will be available for at least a year seeing as the TT RS hasn't got Type Approval yet.

Yeah spoke with me boy,he did ask the question whilst over in Germany, they were shown a chart for cars being released over the next year ie which month they are for sale and under RS3 facelift, all it said was
RS3 -ROS.....Released On Secrecy no date at all,but it proves the car will/does exist, it will just appear without much notice at all.Which to be honest and being level headed for once does suit me better, new model new 17 plate.

Well at least it shows its on the way. It will be worth the wait so it's time to sit back and wait a year

Well i guess some news is better than no news !

Defo sounds more like next year though doesn't it & give TTRS the limelight for its release end of this year then have re-launch hype next year for the RS3 again. To Audi this will make more sense than launching both close together I guess and they will know some people who can't wait may buy the TTRS too.

More time to save for those matrix lights & exclusive paint jassy ... & any other tasty & tantalising extras they might release with the FL :sunglasses:

Oh and the wait isn't that bad ....

I ordered end of July last year and it was delivered early March ... so March 17 will come round quicker than you think too mate.

The S5 is a great option mate ... all I would say is make sure you get the handling aids as that's the one thing I should have maybe got just to help its mass through the twisties a bit better. Other than that it was a stunning car which I thoroughly enjoyed for 2.5 years.
Very premium feeling, quality inside & out & superb overall car.

Unfortunately @Snake Pliskin the new S5 will not have the supercharged engine anymore
It will have the same turbo'ed 3 litre V6 engine that will be fitted to the forthcoming B9 S4. Probably will also have the tip tronic gearbox as the s-tronic one can't handle the extra torque
Shame that IMHO :(

Yeah, as you well know mate, the 3.0 litre super chargerd engine is a peach, as was the V8 before that .... each change brings on more power, greater fuel efficiency but what on face value is a loss on engine 'excitement' I guess. Hopefully the new turbo unit will have a character all of its own though.

I see the article says the new S5 is even longer than the out going model though. That is one thing which baffles me about the 5. It's over 300mm longer than the 3 sportback yet there is much less useable space inside the car. I have to say I love my sport backs proportions, especially in my garage. Why do the car makers insist on making cars longer & wider with each new model ???? The 5 was a squeeze to get in my garage and tight to get in & out with those huge coupe doors.
Id prefer it if they shrunk the car a little personally.

Price madness. Check this out. Cracking TTRS. However, at 3:00 you see the price...wow To be fair. Appears to be some spec. But converting this back, your 56k

The only high spec options l initially see are carbon front disc's and a kermit Exclusive paint colour, which will add £4k to the price to start with,...great find though...but consider me out on this car...its not worth that amount of dosh.....never in a million Audis

You're looking at the black wheels being a cost option, black pack being paid option, sports exhaust, exclusive paint, ceramic brakes (£4k on their own) and a few others possibly there, so actually entry price could be around £48k - probably wishful thinking but still seriously looking at one if I can get the payments to work.

Black pack, larger wheels and sports exhaust IMO are all a must. And the fixed spoiler also...but that may be standard! Would love one, but 50k is just a no go. I think I'd rather be in a used m4 for that wedge. Two different cars I know, but at 50...you can get some cracking second hand motors.
