So I recently signed up to Audi-sport, spent hours reading through threads, and plenty of arguments, and went and found myself an S3 8L. Just like to thank everyone for all the great information posted in these threads, it's really helped. So she had a few problems, I serviced her (the full kaboosh, haldex and all, thanks to another good thread) changed the turbo gasket, put a 007 in and now she's running like a dream. Just waiting on some koni shocks, H&R springs, Forge tie bars and poly bushes. But I was sat in her the other day, she was idling, I was twiddling my thumbs and out of curiosity I tapped the throttle, and after leaving some baby gravy in my boxers I noticed that the revs stay put for a few seconds before dropping back to idle speed, like Pavarotti holding a note. Again I've siffted through a lot of threads and am stuck between N75 valve, clutch switch or MAF could anybody please point me in the right direction.

I think the clutch switch is only a problem if it continues to rev when changing gears (maybe only fly by wire versions) - I am not 100% but I think they reuse the circuit which cuts out the cruise control to drop the revs.

The clutch switch only cuts the revs when changing gears/ pressing clutch in so if your just revving it and not using the clutch it won't be that could be throttle body, split hose mine does it now n then

So wasting my time with clutch switch, thanks great help. I'll be inspecting my hoses tomorrow. I'm guessing from other threads that I can just give the throttle body a bit of a clean?

Lovely. Will give it a try and let you you know how it goes. Cheers
