What have you done to your 8V today?

After the pain of a Kia Sportage hire car this week have driven mine quiet hard for the last couple of days and enjoyed every minute.....so with not much to do today decided to buy some more "products" and give her another clean..

Wow, great work @rcnacura ! Not sure if be able to manage it!
It did take some trial and error but totally worth it. You just have to go back a few times to tighten the thread as tight as you can get it. Patience is key, something I'm not good with lol .

That's a bit worrying, I've got an 8+ hour drive in a couple of weeks...I must remember to put a bottle of water in. It was fine last year going to Scotland and then Cornwall though!!!

I wouldn't worry, I've read a bit on it and most people don't have the issue again if they even get in the first place. I'm going to keep a bottle of water with the oil in the boot. If it happens again I'll speak to Audi. Driving back tomorrow so that should be a good test.

Bottle of water to be safe...I also bought a 10l metal petrol can today as where we are going is a bit remote, so better to be safe than sorry :) I'll fill it up before we go off the main roads!

I had a one off incidence of loosing coolant in my A3 2.0 TDI, carried round a 2.5 litre container of coolant for about 6 months and never needed another drop. Would suggest for safety sake carrying a bottle of coolant rather than water if you are worried. You can get a 1 litre bottle in the RHS side compartment with the tool kit with a squeeze if you don't have room under the boot floor

Was in a concrete covered car park today that was near empty. When I left, the temptation was too much........windows down and it was almost as much fun as a tunnel. Great sound.

Nothing mega exciting but topped up the oil. 250ml now at 16.5k miles, full oil change at the service at 13k so if that's a trend you're looking at 750ml/10k.

Will be changing the oil myself at 19.5k so it has new oil every 6 months.

Erm don't hold your breath LoL !!

Best service related change was changing to Denso Iridium Power spark plugs but that's also related to my stage 1 tune. Got them to change the pollen filter at the same time to save me coming back a few months later.

Turned up at Chelmsford Audi for my S3's 1st oil change, only to be told I'm a week early - A few laughs when I was asked whether I still wanted to stand by the "I'll wait" option i ticked online too :stupid:

Great service from Kevin @ Chelmsford Audi though, he's slotted me in. Car has done 11500 miles, DIS tells me that the oil change isn't due for another 800 miles but I'm off to Le Man 24 hour in a couple of weeks so thought it'd be nice to get the car done before having a nice little drive out.

Very sunny today, so I took it down the coast for a drive (Chester-Rhyl-Abergele-Conway), went on the old road and thought "What a waste of time having 300BHP!!!" the speed limits were 30, 40 and 50 with a few 70's for a few hundred yards, I even thought I may a well have a drop top with a 1.4 engine in it, at least I'd enjoy the sun better :)

I then saw a new build Audi dealership!!! I went in to have a look and he asked if I wanted a PX price for my car, he said we don't give you more for the PX just to add more on the price of the new car...I was optimistic! He came back with £23k :( I've just looked on Autotrader and an Audi dealership are selling the same reg/car as mine with lower spec for £26,990.
