Hi,
I have a a3 8p (sportback) from 07 and i wanted to know if its possible to code the option on it to open the car from the inside after i lock it with the key.
Right now if i lock the car from the outside with the key/remote, it can't be opened from the inside, which can be a bit of problem if someone wants to stay on the car but wants me to lock it for security reasons and if i do, they won't be able to open it in case of an emergency or leave the car (i locked a few people on the car because i keep forgetting about this lol).
Right now the only way it opens from the inside is if its locked due to speed or if i press the button on the drivers side.

Any way to this with vcds?

thanks!

Hi,

I'm not totally sure on the 8P, so you might have to check your manual - but the 8V pops up with a message to say "Door safelock feature, check your manual" or something along those lines.

Essentially it means that from one key click the doors lock and deadlock (just like what you're describing above) but then if you press it again the deadlocks are disengaged and what you want to do about effectively happens.

That's my understanding anyway - I'm not sure if its a similar feature on the 8P

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the advice!
I tried that double click but still, nothing :/

Anyone else has any idea if i can enable the door to be opened from the inside after i lock the car with the key?
