Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the cooler, had the toyosports one on my s3 and was amazing, made such a difference.

bought mine trough ECS tuning site (shipped from the states)
Its a southbend stage 3 daily clutch & single mass flywheel kit.
Can't tell how good is it as Still sitting in the garage tho, as the oem clutch is still holding on well.

Can you tell me the price? And how much you paid import tax? Spec of clutch?

I believe it was about £600(+/- 25) mark including the import tax. the price import tax should be around a £100 ish due to kit's weight, the actual items price varies from day to day keep an eye on currency exchange, us the time when the dollar is weak.

Unfortunately now the prices are very high. I cant find anything less then 900.

After long run, i ordered clutch from JH Motorsports. Should be 700 plus import tax.
TOM.S what i need for import? Any paperwork? Or how is this going?

Thanks for info TOM.S
Today's goodies :)

Ordered some IC pipe kit for B6 1.8T engine i gonna see how can i modify and what i need to order more to fit :)

That will be interesting to see how it all fits.

I know its wont be easy ride, but i didn't wanted to pay 600+ pounds for FMIC. Custom pipe work quotation was 600 with intercooler, and some IC kit with big brand name are 1000, what is overkill for this build. Hopefully i can sort it out under 200 pounds.

Yeah I know what you mean mate, I used the same cooler on my old s3 and sources my own pipe work and brackets and it cost me less than £150 and was better than anything you could buy for the money.

How much was the pipe work kit?

How much HP you run on it? This kit was 64£. I need only some reducers and maybe one or two 90 degrees pipe and clamps. And nice dry weekend :D And to see where i can fabricate IC holders and rent grinder to cut the crash bar. :D Its hard to fabricate without tools and garage. :(

250 but they are good for upto 400 as long as it's the correct core, few dodgy ones about. That's not a bad price then.

My aim is around 350HP and 400lbs, hopefully it can keep the intake temp down. But first i need to wait for clutch to arrive from US, then to fit and to drive 500miles to brake in. I'm starting to be exited :D

that looks like a top quality piece of kit chap, when my clutch need an overhaul, not just yet hopefully, then i'd probably choose the same product.
nice work ..
You just need to get it all put together and mapped up nicely.

Thanks. But customer support is awful. I ask them few questions and they didn't answer.
Now is 500mile droving in town. Then slowly fitting parts.

Its always an excitement to get another update on this thread.
Stiffy mate, if you carry on in this trend , then 4 months down the road you will have the most modded A4 in here ;)
please do a write up on the front mount cooler as I want to go for a bargain cooler set up too.

Thanks TOM.S, hopefully till end of summer everything gonna be fitted. Maybe engine mod, but you and other chaps have very nice cars and mods. I admire you and them for skills.
Yes i gonna do lots of pic to help others, because IC kits are to expensive to pay for only a brand name.

Small update:
Today a took to fit clutch, but also gonna do oil pick up pipe, i heard its better to do it to be on safe side. Because i don't know witch revision i have.

When you order something from china and receive gratis usb cable :D

IC pipes are 2" and its gonna be restriction after 300hp and higher revs, up for sell.

Preparing stuff for long weekend and fitting :D

First impression on clutch kit. It's about 33% harder and very grippy. Hopefully after 500 miles it's gonna be more oem feel. Also on old clutch not to much meat left but i gonna keep it if i gonna go back to stock.
Next thing is oil pick up pipe. I had still the old type. And i hardly suggest to change it for new one.

What size should the IC pipes be mate?

You having the car mapped straight after the runner flap delete?

For 350-400 at least 2.25" but ideal is 2.5".
Yes i want to do the same time. It's gonna cause rough idle but better flow.

I thought the r tech pcv delete kit had a outlet still in the plate?

Forge one only eliminates PCV failure but still letting oil vapours in turbo and from that to inlet.

Ooh I know that mate, but I thought the rtech one blanked one of the front ports and had a breather pipe on it and then a blank on the turbo and another pipe on the rear.

you see, it was a good plan to get the clutch done , that old one would never handle the power upgrade.
nice work chap.

I would break on dyno, thanks for advice :)
