Facelift THE NEW AUDI A3 (2016 FACELIFT) – STILL AHEAD OF THE CURVE

I'm gutted about this probable delay...but don't honestly think I would order the car without virtual cockpit or matrix headlights know...as I know I would be disappointed. ....but if the tts had the new engine mods and the 7 speed auto...I would order it 2moro.....

I won't be ordering until a year's time so should be fine, but want to wait for the 184 diesel too. Hopefully that won't be too long so I can start to nail down a spec.

Do the A3/S3's have sweeping dynamic front indicators or just rear?

On Carvow they now have color choice and options available for selection. It looks mostly ok I think. Nothing on Orange Wheels though.

I'm in a similar position. My existing A3 will be 3 years old in April 2017 and I would like to change before then, but only if the new 184 is available. The original information from Audi said it would be around 6 months time. Cannot really understand why it should be later than the rest because because it just a normal A3 and the 184 engine has been available for some time, unless of course they are making some additional changes.

Do you know the deposit contribution from Audi for the sport back?

I am beginning to think you will not on such a new car, wait for a few months and it's be up to 16% like the A4 is...

Carwow still hasn't got any 2.0tfsi engines so no good for me yet...

Yep I'm not in a rush. Don't need a car before October anyway and to be fair I'm more interested in a S3 Sportback :)

Well if no finance the discount is £876 only so £500 is for taking a PCP. However on the Audi web site you get a £1000 for taking a PCP...
Anyway looking for £1000 contrib + at least 10% discount on ROTR so I'll wait until the novelty of the facelift fades away :)

do we get the sweeping dynamic front and rear indicators on the normal sline?

or do I need to add the matrix lights?

Only with the matrix headlights do you get the front sequential indicators, as stated before, however with the sline, because it comes with LED headlights as standard, you do get the sequential rear indicators. So you will still need to add the matrix headlights to get front sequential indicators...

Apologies to be slightly off topic, but it is related to my purchase of the facelift, does anyone know that whether on a PCP you can just return the car before the end of the term without having to pay more, what happens if the car is valued at negative equity? I don't seem to be able to get a straight answer from my local Audi branch.

This is not good news at all. I've waited off for months to order a FL with those two options specifically.. I can't hold on to my current car for another 7/8 months if I get a December delivery, as my current PCP is up in July!

Similar issues with mine, delays and lack of info on delivery meant I paid off the pcp on my current car and kept it.

You won't get a straight answer from the dealer, you need to talk to VWFS as they own the car, and it's them you have a contract with.

If you've paid off 50% of the total amount payable (loan amount inc. GVF, plus all the interest charges) you can walk away using a voluntary termination. If you've not paid 50% or more though, and it's worth less than you owe, you'll need to pay up.

If it's worth more than you owe, tough. VWFS keep the extra. You only get the excess over the GVF if you complete the contract.

Also known from VWFS stand point: Heads I win, tails you lose. :)

If it's worth more than you owe just part exchange / sell it and put the money towards your next one, don't think there would be a circumstance where you would give VWFS the extra

I am sure though that the dealerships can settle the finance at a lower amount than what is quoted in the contract agreement. So they take the car off you, settle the finance and any excess goes into a p/x. We had done this with our ford's before..

I'm going to the dealer tonight and have some questions that I am asking so I will let you all know the answers later on tonight.

The amount that's owed is just that, the amount that's owed. The finance company will not knock money off for any reason.

Does anyone know if Ara blue will definitely be an option on the S3?

These are the colours mentioned for the FL S3 so no Ara Blue... Is Navarra Blue supposed to be similar to Ara Blue?

Not to the general public, however, as I stated, we've had experienced this when p/x a ford that has outstanding Ford Credit, with another Ford.
There is us and the are trade deals, that's the difference it seems, either that or the sales department is getting something back..

Think it is the latter. Someone here mentioned it before. A 'reward' that dealers get for signing up an existing customer to a new PCP

They may get a reward for a new deal, and they may choose to offset your debt with their incentive but there is no public an trade prices when an outstanding balance is concerned.

I wonder if Audi have managed to sort out gapless mp3 playback now (no track gaps), 15+ years after it become easily possible...

Not so sure as when we've offered to settle any account sales have always insisted they do it. In the shady world of credit anything can be done as long as we don't know about it.

Anyway, to get back on topic, anyone got any proper quotes from any internet brokers yet. Seems to me that dtd, carwow and orangewheels haven't got there yet...

I checked on DTD again now, 2:0 ltr 190 sportback showed 13% discount (including £500 bonus for finance) 11.4 % without NOW SET UP. Carfile 10.3 % + carwow nothing.

Yep with DTD on ROTR £31,940 I got 12.6% incl. £500 deposit contrib for PCP. However on an A3 Sportback 1.4 COD S Line S Tronic they're missing the magride £995 option which is available on the audi.co.uk web site.
Getting there :)

I got a quote on a new A3 1.4 COD + Daytona Grey, ACC, Tech Pack and B&O. Direct from Audi - £5k deposit, 4 year term was £420 a month. I don't think there was much of a discount.

A CarWow dealer suggested 8% off a new A3 COD yesterday. Whetstone Audi.
