@Dani_B19 did you manage to sort your rear speaker problem when doing this install? I'm wanting this in my a3, Iv found the antenna booster that I need and I think I've found the adaptor I need to power the rear amp for the rear speakers but I just wondered what you did?!

Nope, still not managed to sort them out mate. Have some Hilo converters to try but they require cutting and splicing which I don't really want to do so still looking for a plug and play adaptor but struggling.

From what I've read I don't think they'll sort it either. I've been told now by two seperate companies that this is what is needed for my 57 reg a3 https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/171354188404
Or this one if its an older model https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/350731704782
I've been looking into it for ages today, basically this eBay lead is an active lead that sends power to the rear amp/speakers therefore turning them on and powering them properly. The reason they are quiet after changing headunits is because the new unit isn't giving out enough power in the way that it is connected with the leads you get with the new head unit.

I understand that mate, the problem is getting the power to them without running a separate power feed.

The above that you've posted could be a good option.

Have you purchased one yet.

Well I've won a brand new ct53-au01 adaptor for £10 so going to give it ago.

Tried to fit the ct53-au01 adaptor and it doesn't match the convections on the car, at this point I was pulling my hair out, with the car dash in bits I drove down to the local halfords, got speaking to their audio guy who was very helpful and seemed to knew what he was doing.

After looking over the wiring we came to the conclusion that the rear amp is getting power, this was verdified by the power feed going to the amp wiring and when disconnected he tears stopped working, it seems the HU just can't equaliser the sound properly between the front and rear, after 5 minutes playing the equaliser settings we got a good medium and tbh I'm happy with it, just means you can't have the whole system ear bleedingly loud which now I'm knocking on (26 haha) and baby here I'm not bothered.

No worries mate.

There may be a better way of doing it but I. Can't be ***** to keeping spending money on it if I'm honest and I only have limited knowledge in this field anyway so heyho, unless someone lives close to South Yorkshire and wants to come sort it out for me .

You must have bought the wrong one, there is one that ends with 01 and one that ends with 02 one is for newer connections and one for the older connections, you have bought the right thing just the one for the wrong model

Am not sure mate but it's up for sale anyway.

Have a look at my thread on the last page I think I have the solution to fix your problem.
Sorry mate but I've tea through the thread and have become slightly lost in it all. What do you suggest to help?

For the poor sound to the rear speakers you will need to get a PAC hi/lo adapter which you connect to the speaker outputs on the stereo and then plug in to the RAC's which go to the main plug, the reason for this is that the RAC's are setup for bose units that require a much lower signal than normal car amp setups so you have to bypass it with the PAC.

In your first ebay listing, this is the harness l got with my Dynavin HU. l have mine all wired up except the Amp Con. The blue wire in the listing picture. Where does that go?

Looked at your loom and the issue is simple.

The current RCA's are designed for Bose which put out a low volume has that's what Bose requires to work. Now I know you don't want to cut the wires so use scotch locks these tap the wires without cutting them then plug that in to the RAC's which connect to the cars main plug and your poor power to the rear will be sorted.

Anyone have a link for the PAC Hilo convertor as I can't seem to find them!
