Apparently the order system has been down for the last few days as they are putting in the changes for the MY2017 build cars. This has delayed my dealer placing my order as well, apparently it should be in by the end of this week though. Not much has changed for MY2017 apparently, parking system plus is now standard (at least on the s-lines, can't remember about the others) but there is a £400 price rise (presumably to account for that). I'd ordered the parking system anyway so the cost works out the same for me.
 
I was about to blow a gasket at that! I've ordered parking system plus, until i realised i had a discount on it really so it works out OK.

I assume I will be getting an MY2017 car...but who knows :)
The system being down explains the radio silence, although it would have been nice of him to respond earlier..

fingers crossed for a build date soon!
 
My dealer said all cars with a build week after the end of May will be MY2017. No idea if that's accurate or not though!

@mcwharam Yeah I've got the build date of 9th May like you say and I've been told a delivery around 19th June.

So you were due to have yours built on 9th May and it's already been built?

Just confirmed with the dealer, parking system plus is standard across the range now (with a £400 uplift)

So does that mean that having just ordered my car a few weeks ago I have no choice but to pay a higher price, or do I benefit from the already agreed price and terms? Doesn't seem right that they can put the price up after I have signed a pre agreed figure!

Yes my build date was originally wc 16/05 the dealer then said it was the 9th of May. The dealer didn't move the delivery date a week sooner, but would only commit to the middle of June. Prior to order (with Crawley Audi) I was told it would be the start to middle of July.

The tracker jumped from preparation to Qc overnight!? Not complaing though. Martin

Looks like the tracker is back up and working as now have my build week of week 27 - 4th July. If that doesn't change then the 3 months quoted by the dealers now looks woefully optimistic. Looks like I could be getting the car a week before I go holiday which means it will just be parked up for 3 weeks :0(
 
Your Audi is showing that my car jumped from Prep to Quality Control overnight. It wasn't meant to be built until the week commencing the 9th. Does that mean it's been built already?

But the API is showing this:
Order Status: 24 Status Date: 09-05-2016
Order Status: 23 Status Date: 07-05-2016
Order Status: 22 Status Date: 06-05-2016
Order Status: 21 Status Date: 05-05-2016

So really, what would the current status of my car be?
 
You will probably find now that it will sit in quality control for a week or so before the next stage. Its a killer waiting.

Im still at status 40 although i have had all the finance documents through via email from the dealer with it showing it being registered this coming monday so i am hoping it will be delivered next week sometime.

Still can't find my order :( I'll give it a day or two...
 
On the way to pick up mine! 60 miles to go, nervous and excited at the same time! Lol

Online tracking is showing its still in transit and arrived in the UK. So not always accurate.

Wish me luck!

So my dealership says my car is in transit. Is that because it says Order status 30?

But look at the order status details I the attached pic. I'm confused as it was a prep stage yesterday.

It seems weird, almost like they have predicted the future status of your car...
The bit that doesn't make sense is the status 30 bit, although there isn't a date attached to it, so I'm not sure if this is a glitch?
If you think positively, they may have done everything a week earlier than the norm, then you car has left the factory on it's way to Emden! :blow:

He has said by email that I need to "pop in" to sign the finance documents, but I don't want to make a special 1.5 hour trip there to just sign some paperwork. Although my mother-in-law collected her new Golf recently and I'm sure she signed hers on the day of collection.
I'm going to ring him shortly to ask what my options are, as at one point a couple of months ago I'm sure he said that he could probably post the documents out to me to sign and post back.

Spoke to my dealer earlier, he says they should have it next week from the PDI centre and then they need a day to prep...
He also said that we can do all the paperwork on the day, all I need to do is bring is my licience??
 
It does seem strange especially as I've had the longest order wait and, then so it seems, the quickest build and exit from the factory!

Surely the dealership have read it wrong, as like you say the Order status 30 has no date beside it and the other order status's are in the future!!!
 
Finally mine is being delivered to my home address Tuesday!

I think there is something up with the tracker as I'm still on status 40 and the car is with the dealer.

Strange but happy all the same :yes:

According to the api it's in quality control. I don't think the tracker is working properly as mine is stuck on status 40 but has been delivered to the dealers.
 
@ScottishS3 same thing happened with mine, it skipped all the build stages and went straight to quality control towards the end of the week before it's supposed build date
 
Mine had left the factory before it supposedly had been passed by QC on the tracker so its quite possible @ScottishS3 is on it's way to Emden. Then you can start ship watching.
 
My dealer was able to email me the finance documents. I have signed them, scanned them and emailed them back for processing, along with a scan of my driving licence. I just need to take in my original driving licence on the day of collection. Also need to ring Audi Insurance to arrange my 5 day complimentary cover.

Collecting it on Wednesday 11th! :)

I wish the dealership could give me a definite answer as I'm going away in 2 weeks time and I still need to sort insurance out and make sure the dealership don't prep my car etc.
 
The latest on my car is that is has been released by the factory and is currently on route to the port. So the dealership tell me.

Hit status 40 yesterday. After sitting in Emdem for about a week its finally made it to the UK.

Spoke to my dealer and they reckon I should be able to pick it up middle of next week, the wait is almost over!

Picked mine up today! She's a beauty and drives so well! Will get pictures up later on

@ScottishS3 I shall post up pictures tomorrow! I got a few key rings and a R8 pen.

The bang and oulsfen speaker system is out of this world. So much bass and sounds so good!

Mine has appeared in the tracking system T some point today! Definitely wasn't there this morning.
Now to figure out a build date (if allocated..)

Cool. I did notice that the actual build date is on the next line. Doh.

I shall live in hope that it will come forward....
Surprisingly all the options look correct!
