My 2.0 TDI covered 19000 miles in 22 months. First S3 5400 miles in just under 10 weeks, second is currently on 7200 miles after 6 months ...seems I like driving the S3 more

I'm on 72k. 1.4 COD Sport 14 plate (May 2014)

Company car, chose petrol over the 2.0 diesel smoother and quieter. Decision confirmed when driving a colleagues diesel

Lots of those miles done using ACC. Only problems I've had is a pheasant running out and breaking the radar and rattle from the front suspension which is now returning.

Blimey, that's impressive. I have the same engine and doubts as to long term reliability were expressed on here a few weeks ago when somebody jumped to an incorrect conclusion that the 1.4 COD was being discontinued as they couldn't find it in the 2016 spec or something like that. Your experience restores my faith. I'm only on 15, 000 miles and I love the engine, but I have thought from time to time that it's very new technology - for this engine at least.

So picked up the car on March 3rd 2015 and I've covered 25658 miles ( so that's roughly 2.5k per month). No problems at all. If anything the 1.4COD engine seems better than ever!

And still loving it:racer:

Good thread!

I'm on 9,000 since collecting this time last year.

There I was saying "I'm only going to do about 3k a year". No idea how I've clocked so many miles - it's the little trips here and there I guess that add up. Bit like my bank balance, except it goes in the opposite direction.

Hi
Quit question how much miles you getting on a full tank or petrol?
My wife drives it the most, I think she said around 350/450 a tank.
She did a 300mile round trip last week and the computer said 45mpg.
I'm sure it will get better as the mileage increases.
Now showing 1200 miles.

That's real good...I have only managed 354 on a tank most of the time I get around 309
