Fans not working!

The fans in my car have suddenly stopped working!

Have taken the fan controls out & tested the power, & all seems fine. Could it be a problem with the fan motor? When I'm driving the heat still gets through into the car but the fans just won't work.

Anybody any ideas as it's brass monkey's outside.

Sounds like it try testing power to the motor itself had the same problem on a prevous car turned out the wire connection was dodgey. If its not that then i would say its the motor which knowing audi will probably be a pain to replaice and cost a fortune. Or easyist thing if you cant fix it just go fast where you can should blow through a bit more then. Good luck.

im sure the heater fan is pretty easy to get at, just take the glove box out and its there staring at you. check the feed to the motor, if thats all good try a direct feed to the motor

could be the resistor pack ? not sure if this is applicable to climate cars but is a known issue on mk4 golfs...

I'll give them all a go. Hopefully they should fix the problem. Don't fancy forking out for a new motor!

Cheers guys.

Ps. Gotta love this site, get feedback in no time at all!!

Hope you are still on this - I have this problem as well, but it sometimes comes and out of the blue. It may be a resistor or something, as I am told by an Audi technician. Is this attached to the motor itself, and does that mean a new motor or fixing in a new resistor? How did you get yours sorted if you did?

Thanks
