does anybody know how I can change the frequency of my alarm fob. or will I need new fob, ignition barrel , ecu and dash. surely an easier way ? thanks..
 
think sombody has the other fob ! etc. dont know if u cud help with another problem im having. just changed rear pads and now the handbrake wont release. handle goes up n down ok. light goes of dash but cables still tight on calipers. only happened after changing both sides. was fine with just 1 side new. moved car so wasnt in road etc
 
changing the freq won't help, if someone else has a key they can just open the door with the key and start the car. the freq only affects the remote part of the locking.
 
not if ignition barrel is changed. also the old key wont have correct transponder code . if im thinking right.

do you know anything about rear brakes. ive just changed rear pads and now the handbrake wont let go of the calipers.and my clutch just went for good measure. avin a great day ere. !
 
Go to audi get them to delete all key transponders saved to the car and re sync your current one
 
I was quote for a key the other day from Audi. £140-£180 for the key, then around £80 for coding. So I guess around £80 for coding. Anyone with vcds can do this though, just resync keys and that "missing" key won't be included.
