As I'm new to this chapter of the forum, and A3s in general, can anyone give ideas to real world figure to diesel consumption.
I'm in my first week of ownership, and just trying to see how many miles you can get from a tank, and average mpg.
I'm a bit sceptical on the figures quoted by Audi

I too would like to know this, I get 370 miles from a full tank (that's full tank from when the light comes on) and that's all town miles. I guess that could be a starting point.

I hope I get better than that to be honest. My last car was a 2.5 V6 A6 and I was getting 550-570 miles from a full tank (approx €60).
Anyone know what the the tank capacity is in litres?

55L, I was getting 610 miles from the tank in my 1.9 TDIe if doing all motorway. Regulary serviced every 10k and always running premium tyres at recommended PSI.

It's about 50 litres if you don't count in reserve tank as Darren has said. So about £48 is a full tank and you'll push approx 600+ if full motorway miles.

Yes I'd get around 600 if all motorways too, what do you get around town Darren?

Ahh, that sounds better. I'll be doing a daily commute of 100 miles, 90 of which is motorway. Mine had been on a variable service schedule which seems to have been approx 15k miles. I would normally doing it at about 10k myself, but what do you guys normally do?

I'm on a a yearly service plan or 10k whichever comes first, I don't believe in Audi's long life service intervals.

Likewise, been on 10k intervals since I got the car at 27k (now on 140k). So far I've had zero issues with the car apart from normal servicing items. It costs £50 from VW for 5L of oil, filter and a sump bung so doing this at least every 10k keeps things good. I recently bought a major service kit from VW and the total for oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter, fuel filter & sump bung was £71.

About 35-40mpg on the DIS but the car is rarely doing town driving.

How do you find the stage 1 Revo? What kind of difference do you get with it?
Good value on that service kit
