Hi - blown bulb on the rear light, so whipped it out and new one in - still nothing. As is quite often the case, the bulb holder is badly corroded so a quick check with a circuit tester tells me there is power in the metal ribbon, but none at the terminals.

So some scraping later and I now have no power at the ribbon! Reverse, brake light and indicators are all fine - this is the near side I'm working on btw.

Blown the fuse, me thinks, but of course there's no fuse for the rear lights in the fuse box on the drivers side of the dash. The other side is fine - I'm guessing I need a new bulb holder, but before I splash on that, IS there a separate fuse for each rear light, and if so, where is the wretched thing please, anyone?

If anyone has a good bulb holder do please let me know - thanks, Mike.

Thanks for the reply, but, err - F21 is n/s dipped beam h/light. It's fine. No mention of it including rear light - and as there was, and isn't now, power to the metal ribbon strip in the bulb holder I'm doubting the same fuse controls both though.

If it was a fuse one of the front lights would be off also!

Ah - you meant rear - - yes - but I'd expect that there's be one per side rather than one covering both. So why don't I have power to the ribbon strip I wonder, after having scraped the terminals - and yes, I forgot to turn the lights off - - ? There has to be a fuse for rear lights, either combined or (as per the headlights), individual. Is there a second fuse box and if so, where?

New bulb holders are not that expensive, I changed both mine last year.

Aye - i really need to change it anyway. Thick end of £30 though. But still wondering why there was - and now isn't - power to the metal ribbon. And surely there's a fuse somewhere ---

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered a new light unit and bulb holder. Problem solved. I'd still like to know where the fuse (if there is one, and surely there must be) actually is.

Thanks John - seemingly not on mine tho - - - hey ho - I suppose I could just pull fuses one after the other, but then again, perhaps not.
