Leaking clutch hydraulic fluid

Hi guys,

I discovered that my car is leaking clutch fluid from the bulk head. It is coming from the silver round thing between the pipes. Does anyone know what it's called or what it does? It can be seen in the photo below:

Any help would be gratefully received.

Its a delay valve.... designed to make clutch engagement smoother
