Hi,
I am new to this site so i dont know whether this has been covered elsewhere. I have owned an Audi A6 2.0TDI 2008 140bhp for close to 9months now. Has done 120k.
I have been getting issues with the turbo underboosting.most the time the car is fine but on occasions between 1500 and 2000rpm no boost at all. This normally happens when im on Mway in 6th. It has now started happening on a regular. I got the car put on a diagnostics and have posted the findings below
1 Fault Found:
000665 - Boost Pressure Regulation
************** P0299 - 000 - Control Range Not Reached - Intermittent
************ Freeze Frame:
******************* Fault Status: 00100000
******************* Fault Priority: 2
******************* Fault Frequency: 6
******************* Reset counter: 255
******************* Mileage: 199640 km
******************* Time Indication: 0
******************* Date: 2015.11.28
******************* Time: 20:07:45
************ Freeze Frame:
******************* RPM: 2142 /min
******************* Speed: 107.0 km/h
******************* Load: 50.2 %
******************* Voltage: 13.53 V
******************* Bin. Bits: 00101000
******************* Absolute Pres.: 2305.2 mbar
******************* Absolute Pres.: 1825.8 mbar
I have read on other site forums to check for boost leaks, N75 wiring and also could sticky vanes.
I took the car to a local garage who checked the pipes and put the car on ramp to check for any visible holes or breaks. Non found. They specilaise in tyres and do the odd mechanical work. If anyone can help me out and recommend someone/garage whod be able to check for boost leaks, vacuum test using the appropriate tools.
I am based in Blackburn but i am willing to travel. I love the car but just want it fixed. Also anyone who is willing to do a mr muscle clean of my turbo would be much appreciated. I know there is lots of forums giving instructions but i am a complete novics and usless at these thing.
Please help lol
Thanks a million
Kal
