Hi, not sure if this is the correct place to post this but I'm wondering if 18x9.5 et30 wheels will fit the saloon? Or is the et a little too low? Thanks

I ran 8.5x19 et 32 on the rear of my old A4 and they protruded beyond the arches. I had to use a 225/35-19 to get them to clear. Here's a picture. You might get away with them on the rear but I doubt they will fit on the front.

Thanks mate. I could go 18x8.5 et35? After seeing your picture I think that would be the better option tbh. Looks sweet mate ;)

30et is to wide on a a4 et35 is the max

ET 35 on the front maybe the max but I used to run 10mm spacers with my 18" RS6's giving a ET of 33 without any issues and I was using 235 tyres. You can go as low as ET 28 on the rear with 18" rims with 235's.

I'm thinking 18x8.5 with 215/40 all round with 15mm or 20mm spacers on the rear. Do you think that would work?

The perfect fitment I found was 8.5" width with ET32

I think the perfect ET is a personal thing depending on the look you want, although Greenys does look good it has a little too much poke for me,I prefer the wheels to sit about 1-2mm inside the arches but then I'm after the slightly enhanced OEM look. I will be trying spacers again with my wheels so will end up with a front ET of 35 and a rear ET of 28.

Sounds good mattyboyc. Yeah I want them with a little poke. I'm just gonna buy the wheels and decide about spacers once I have done a test fit. I've never ran any spacers before so this is all new to me

I don't like spacers and have never had a set that don't vibrate and I have only every used H&R ones, although they have been second hand, however to get the perfect stance I will have to use them. As I said poke is not for me but each to their own. When you've done it be sure to throw up some pictures.

I've decided to go for 15mm spacers on my original 18" S4 wheels, rather than splash out on new ones, once I get it lowered.

I'll post some pics up once I've got them mate...gotta keep the missus happy 1st though and get this ****** holiday paid off hahaha

Depends on tyres really, size and if you go for a stretch.

I have 18" et35, 8j front 9j rear with 235/45 tyres all round on mine. Depending on the wheel design you may need spacers at the front to clear the brake carriers.

I have my coilovers quite low and they are very snug. ;-)

Thanks for all the help peeps ;) I know a lot more now than I did yesterday lol. I think I need different coilovers now tho , my lows are nowhere near as good as yours and I cant go any lower on the rear

You can indeed adjust the camber to achieve the look you are after, providing of course your not bothered how long your tyres last.

Thats another option...I'll see what the fitment is like once I get the new wheels. Hopefully I wont have to :tonguewink:

Camber is only adjustable on the rear as standard. You'd need new adjustable top arms to do the front. But it'll make a mess of your tires running Neg. camber.

I have a set of a5 alloys 18"x8.5j et29 with 245/40/18 tyres I did slightly roll the front wings and adjust my rear camber to -1.5degree and they are fine with no catching unless I have about 2-300kg in the back
