Hi all,
I'm stuck in a conundrum...
As you may have seen on my first post I just ordered my BiTDi but I need help on the choice of the Convenience Pack.
I hate the way Audi now groups loads of stuff together so to get one thing I want (retractable blinds) I have to speck loads of stuff I could care less about...

Question - do you think there would perhaps be interest for selling on the load area additions from the pack if I opted for it?

I've got to decide asap before the build gets locked by Audi.

Any thoughts would be gratefully received...

For ref the pack includes

"The luggage compartment comes with a reversible mat, tie-down straps and a load area fixing kit which includes a fixing set for the rail system with a telescopic pole and fastening strap for dividing up the luggage area. A through-load facility for long items is also provided which comes complete with a removable ski/snowboard bag

Passengers in the rear seat will be able to manually adjust blinds on the rear window and rear side windows to their preference, whilst they will also gain two drinks holders in the rear armrest and two 12-volt sockets."

Hi there @AtotheK , I specced it on my Avant and I am pleased that I did. If you really wanted to sell items on like the Ski bag - we don't ski, so I have a surplus ski-bag too! - then I am sure that you could get a reasonable price on eBay; but they will make the car more desirable when you sell it on. The reversible mat is great and the telescopic pole keeps items from slopping about the huge boot.

That all said, the kids rarely use the sun blinds in the back because we have tinted windows with the Black Edition (think you get that on the S-Line too), so if you're speccing the Convenience pack purely for the blinds.. they are looking quite expensive for something that might not get used that much!

Thanks for the reply Pete. Kinda what I was thinking, I guess I just had to hear someone say it too. I'd love the blinds as I think they really set the car apart and my girls often complain of the sun even with privacy glass, so I think I'd use them.
I'm getting the semi rigid boot liner so that covers the rails for the load system, so they're obsolete for me.
Pricey option for what I want I guess...

Aaah but think of how happy the girls will be with the blinds.. as long as they survive them playing with them for the first few rides until they get bored!! :) Been there with my two boys.. finally relented and specced Rear Heated Seats on the latest motor... gotta keep the kids happy to prevent the whinging!

I thought about it but left it. I have the telescopic bar from my previous A4 which fits a treat and an end of roll carpet in the back. The blinds would be nice but for the amount of sun we get here its an expensive option. Get the girls an Audi Hoodie to hide in instead!

Ha good thinking Andy. I didn't bother with it in the end. It's a nice luxury but no value. The car is locked now for build in week 7... Can't wait!

Nice they look sweet. How do you find them? Work well?

How do the attach? Any close-up or detail pics? The website doesn't show much...

Will try and get some over the weekend but they literally clip into place

The side blinds have a small metal clip that sits in the window rubber. The two rear blinds for the boot sit within the plastic trim. No screws or drilling etc is required :)

Yes I checked YouTube in the meantime. Pretty natty design! A good option for the summer trip to France!

It's a shame you have to get the whole pack as the Erin's holders and 12v sockets are really handy for a family.

I agree. But £840 for 2 plastic drinks holders is a joke. Back in the day you could spec each item individually but I guess the myriad choices that makes increases build cost etc... Boo hiss!

Try a 10 hour drive to the south of France... Anything for contented children and the accompanying peace and quiet!
